Craig quits Bond...

Daniel Craig has sensationally quit Bond just as filming starts on Bond 25. Aiden Turner has been hired to star as Bond in the upcoming Bond entry...
Considering the chaos surrounding this production it's not that far fetched.

In other sad news, Tania Mallet best known to us Bond fans as Tilly Masterson in Goldfinger has passed.

I think Tania Mallet should have been in FRWL.

I believe she was the original choice but for one reason or another EON went with Daniela Bianchi

That is quite a howler! It also goes to show EON missed the mark by recycling Craig instead of bringing in some fresh young blood.

Tania Mallet also used the AR-7 rifle from the FRWL attaché case.

Everyone on planet earth and some in other galaxies knew this except for one producer desperately clinging to a craggy mistake.

Killing Eve author thinks there isn't a more nauseating phrase than "Bond girl" and what a huge step down it would be for Jodie Comer to be one. Yeah, sure, what a huge step down it would be to play a character in quite possibly the greatest franchise of all time. I know it's gone to hell but still. :picard:

I wonder where he thinks the Jodie Comer rumour came from? My guess would be her agent.

Exactly. But his mind is too occupied with thinking how this actress is too talented to be a Bond girl(as if there is such a thing). That is such a pretentious idea all around. Not to mention the whole "Bond girl phrase is nauseating" thing reeks of feminazi claptrap.

Bit embarrassing for him if, by some miracle, the rumour does turn out to be true.

Too right Kris! Of course she'll be playing a "different kind of Bond girl" a phrase we've never heard before.

This happens every recent movie, rumor gets started so hot up and coming actress is about to sign. Rumor mill goes wild, the guardians of true artistic merit decry their newest awards winner being involved with a brash popcorn film because despite everything babs thinks she has accomplished the people she truly wants approval from still see her movies as no different from her fathers.

Bond girl hasn’t changed much, babs wants sell it as it’s different this time, now 40% more WOK. But if she honest with herself she realize she not even selling decent movies with good roles for the male characters, the female characters she’s taken back further than the 50s. I don’t think these people who complain about the term Bond girl realizes how much these women actually got to do in a bond movie that are a role they’d never get in any other franchise. I think most of us could make a list, but since my bond fandom begins with dalton I’d point to his leading ladies then continue all the way to jinx in dad, The women’s roles were not just for looks and the series tried to make better use of them, certainly better use than the Craig era has.
