My god, Craig looks like a melting Muppet in this! I can't decide who looks older him or the cleaning woman!

Did Broccoli OK that mess? Using the 007 themed plot must be approved to use by her I would think. There was NOT A SCINTILLA of humor in that entire disgrace. This is maintaining the franchise during Covid? I think just the opposite------it is burying it :!: KONG awaits :!:

My theory is that the sketch was originally hilarious, and then the fun-sponges at EON sucked all the joy out of it, as they do with everything else.

Bo is still dead. Unless it picks up I don’t think Babs will risk nttd, before it flips she has a potential billion dollar movie, after it doesn’t make $200 million opening weekend she’s got nothing worth selling for $600 million and nothing coming up worth selling either.

Weird how the studios are going nuts for streaming, WB is hoping to make up some numbers the prove it’s viable The Snyder cut is supposedly going to make that case. I don’t think streaming can replace the revenue movies had at least not alone. It’s one monthly free distributed among investors based on viewership.

Warner Bros/Legendary’s Godzilla Vs Kong will slug it out in 38 offshore markets this weekend beginning Wednesday in such hubs as Mexico, Taiwan, Indonesdia and India; followed by Russia, Korea and Australia among others on Thursday and China notably on Friday. The Adam Wingard-directed pic is releasing abroad ahead of domestic which falls on March 31 day-and-date in theaters and on HBO Max. Sources are seeing GVK’s full international weekend range starting at about $70M with room to grow if China shines. This is the first major Hollywood popcorn title to hit turnstiles in several months and should it land anywhere above Tenet’s $53M international box office start, it would mark the biggest offshore debut for a studio movie in the pandemic era.

Makes sense to debut it in Asian markets. Not sure when we'll get to see it here, I don't think cinemas reopen until mid-April.

Even here where the opened up more markets like la and nyc it’s dead. Are they hoping for less than $100 million to world wide to call it a win or opening weekend?

IMDb is no help. They give the UK release date as 2nd April, which is obviously an old date that has yet to be amended, as cinemas are not due to reopen before May 17 at the earliest (and could be later if there is a 3rd wave...or is it 4th, I've lost track?)

Down to 92% now, but that's still an impressive score.

My friends are really impressed with that casting. Seems a big deal. I’m Not familiar with Dr. fate though

I'm not *that* familiar with him, but it's nice to see Pierce getting a meaty role in a big tentpole movie.

From what my friends say he’s almost perfect for the original character

Though official collections for the film are yet to be declared, early indications are that the superhero action film Kong vs. Godzilla (with monsters in the midst of affairs) has managed to collect 6.40 crores at the box office, which is $64 million!-----------------Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment's Godzilla vs. Kong is off to a stomping start at China's huge theatrical box office. The Adam Wingard-directed monster sequel pulled in $21.5 million Friday, according to Legendary. The new film is pacing slightly ahead of its predecessor Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which Artisan Gateway data shows earned $20.9 million on its first day in 2019 (pre-Covid 19), before finishing the weekend with $70.6 million. Local word of mouth for Godzilla vs. Kong is currently looking strong, with the film scoring 9/10 on ticketing apps Maoyan and Taopiaopiao, and 7.1 on reviews site Douban — solid numbers for a Hollywood tentpole. Based on current demand, Maoyan projects GVK to finish its run with approximately $166 million.

Just heard that my cousin's husband passed away from a combination of cancer and covid. Her whole family had covid, but he was already weakened from the cancer, and the covid finished him off. This was in Greece.
