Hanks is another Hollywood liberal that thinks he knows more than the 'average' citizen about what is right and wrong, just like most detestable liberal worms think here. He has limited appeal for me as an actor. I never liked him and find him overrated. His liberal wife runs the show in his mind anyway.

Bruce Springsteen is opening up about the financial missteps that landed him in hot water with the IRS.

During a candid talk with Tom Hanks during the Tribeca Film Festival, the 67-year-old singer opened up about the financial troubles he experienced early in his career.

“First of all, I never met anyone in New Jersey who paid any taxes! We never paid any taxes,” the New Jersey native said, adding that “the entire state wasn’t paying any taxes.”

“Then when we got with [manager] Mike Appel. He was handling all our business and his thing was, ‘We’re not paying any f—— taxes.’ So, years went by and … all of this time went by. Nobody’s paying taxes — me, the band, no one I know.” -----------here is your typical American liberal :!: I thought Brucey is for the common man, the little guy? I hate and detest this man with a passion and I would NEVER pay a dime to see this bum perform :!:  :cuss:

Pierce Brosnan says he was frustrated that his James Bond films weren't gritty and real. In an interview with Total Film magazine, he said that he wishes the plots weren’t so outlandish, reports femalefirst.co.uk. He said: “There was a certain frustration within me as the films went on, as I could see the world happening around me and the movies … I wanted Bond to get a little more gritty and real and down and dirty, but however you try to nurse it along, the scripts would come along with the same outlandish scenarios.” The actor added: “So you go with the flow, and just enjoy the great experience of travelling the world and being this character. I had a great time on ‘Die Another Day’. There were things I read in the script that were so ridiculous, like the invisible car, but I just tried to act my way through it and believe in it. “You can really give yourself a massive headache and a great amount of stress trying to wangle some sense of believability into it.”

He did say "a little more". He's probably talking OHMSS rather than QOS.

Glen Campbell has shared the title track off his forthcoming final studio album, Adios, delivering a poignant goodbye to his fans.

The 81-year-old country icon is in the final stages of Alzheimer's disease and this new set is a gift he will leave for the world. It should not come a surprise that Campbell performs beautifully on the Jimmy Webb-penned song, the album's closing number. :(

IndieWire broke the news of Paul McGuigan being in contention for the directorial gig, but it isn't known at this time what other contenders are also being considered. Eon Productions was reportedly so impressed with his work in the upcoming Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool with Annette Bening and Jamie Bell, that he became a contender for this Bond movie. Broccoli has long preferred to hire directors with arthouse cred over mainstream action specialists, from Oscar-winning “American Beauty” director Sam Mendes (“Spectre” and “Skyfall”) to “Monster’s Ball” director Marc Forster (“Quantum of Solace”). Based on his tenure with the BBC One “Sherlock” series, and his handling of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Holmes and Watson, McGuigan would be a prime choice for a quirkier yet still compelling spin on Bond.

Napoleon Solo wrote://I don't recall who the distributors are being a big deal before Sony get involved. Maybe it was because MGM could distribute themselves, dunno.//

Sony was part of a group that bought MGM. That's how Sony became involved with Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

MGM then went bankrupt, reorganized with new ownership (mostly hedge funds). At this point, the "new" MGM was too small to release its own movies and needed to cut distribution deals with other studios. Sony signed up to co-finance and release Skyfall and SPECTRE. That contract expired after SPECTRE.
Thank you for the explanation! My recollection of two year deals since DAD for distribution was correct as well.
I went back to look before 2002 MGM was slowly losing it's grip as distributor. I am confused why everybody is making a big deal out of who the next Distributor will be. Common knowledge is Sony comes back equals Daniel stays, no idea why that is considered knowledge because distributors have no say in the casting, even partners have limited input.
I understand why it feels this way because Sony come into the picture and Bond was turned on its head for Daniel, however the Broccoli family has it in the contracts they have final say in casting 007. MGM then later Sony wanted Pierce to come back, Amy Pascal wanted Clive Owen (who I believe would be horrendous in the role), Barbara got her way because it's in their contract.

I don't believe any of these interested studios suddenly packs up retracting their offer if they learn the prima-donna Daniel Craig is retired from 007. It may feel like new distributor and partner equal new 007, however the fact do not support this assumption. It a fun distraction like the betting odds, which were completely wrong 2005-06

Say it ain't so!
I still can't fathom how Barbara got away with it. Casino Royale has virtually nothing to do with the Novel aside form a few plot points, yet is extolled as a transparent copy of the book to celluloid. The un-Flemingness of her 007 continued to compiled through each painful sequel of the Nu-Bond series, to the point of BroFeld and Bond escaping like a superman with one shot kills from great distance. Not even the worst of Sir Roger's 007 got close to this kind of camp.

Awoke this morning form an awful dream. I was in the theatres trying to watch the new Han Solo adventures, it was worse than Rogue One. The only scene I remember in my waking mind is a bad Wookie ghillie suit draped over "Han" so he & Chewie could sneak back to the ship.
Wondering why the hell did I have this dream? Not particularity thinking about Star Wars, then I realize its May 4th.
Happy Star Wars Day everybody! "May the 4th be with you!"

?????

I've no idea if this is true but it has created a lot of speculation on film sites. IMDB Pro lists Christopher Nolan's Syncopy as Bond 25's production company. If Nolan was directing Bond 25 that would presumably mean the end for Craig. Nolan would want a fresh slate. Anyway, just idle speculation at the moment.

It appears that the rumours about SYNCOPY are true. IMDb has confirmed that #Bond25 is correctly listed under Nolan's production company.

This could be huge.First reaction is this has to be a simple error. However if true, it would definitely mean the end of Daniel Craig as Nolan has expressed before he would want his own 007 in his own world.

Here is a page from the originator of the tweet.
http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2017/05/04/ ... nd-25-5-4/
He is dubious of it being correct information. However IMdB has confirmed it.

He had this to say about the last movie.
I'm all for mixing things up, and maybe this is how Daniel Craig wants to go out, but Spectre sure felt like a Bond-by-auteur endgame, and it felt even more like the end of a particularly dour road for the series. Whatever we were expecting from Bond 25, I think we all agreed things needed to lighten up a bit.

if IMDb says so...

I don't believe it. IF there is any truth to it then I'd expect WB to be distributor and a three film deal for director and distributor.
Also Babs would be on the outs because her way of collaborating, yelling until she gets her way will not work with Nolan.

I don't think eon has the grapes to step back and let someone run Bond their way.

Besides this reads like a fanboys dream, so I expect some comment from Nolan about this being BS.

How so?
If Nolan is making a bond he is in charge not Babs. If true it's the first step in removing her, which is why I doubt it.

I'm talking about him directing a Craig Bond film, which I find it very unfair to Pierce.
