Come to think of it aside from old black and white movies on cable channels I don't think I've seem a proper telling of the LR.
Late 90s there was an attempt to relaunch a tv series with a modern spin.
Disney screwed up by trying to letting alternate history tonto bs drive the movie, not that any of the bad guys made any sense either.

There was a Lone Ranger movie made in the early 80's which ironically made many of the same mistakes as well, on top of which they added insult to injury when the the producers filed an injunction on Clayton Moore the star of the beloved television show, prohibiting him from appearing in character. It's a shame as I feel there could be a market for the ranger if producers could stop trying to reinvent the character and instead make an honest straight forward interpretation because the message of the character is timeless and would reverberate very well in today's society.

Well the Lone Ranger ties into the green hornet series which Seth Rogen bludgeoned to death, so in theory is a movie studio does it right they could have dozens of movies to make

Very true big O, ironically I'm watching the old Lone Ranger show as we speak. It's too bad Hollywood feels the need to make so many things in to camp parodies of themselves.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 007’s home studio, had nothing to say about Bond 25. The company released its first-quarter financial results on May 16. MGM commented about completing the rest of the Epix premium channel it didn’t own. It talked about various TV projects, including Steve Havey’s Funderdome, a reality television series for MGM. And updates about various movie remakes, including Tomb Raider and Death Wish. But no mention about Bond 25, part of the film series which once upon a time was MGM’s major financial asset. Instead, CEO Gary Barber said the mini-studio has an “increasingly diversified base of earnings” because of the Epix deal. “This is an exciting time for MGM,” Barber said at the conclusion of an investor call. Last month, The New York Times said MGM was entertaining offers from five studios to release Bond 25. Barber neither addressed the story nor received any questions about Bond 25 or any related 007 topics.

Between this and the last news that babs was not going to wait on Craig and told filmmakers she was not sure when bond 25 would start.
Seem like Craig is not likely to come back,
Nolan deal is a misprint at IMDb
And They (eon) have no idea what to do next

To me, the lack of a start date for Bond 25 suggests that Babbzy is waiting for Fat [s]Seagal[/s] Craig to come back. But what do I know?

Ah, good point. Anyone with logic and self respect would be pissed at Craig but this is babs we are talking about

I was not a big fan of YKMN, in retrospect the later songs this was by far the better song with the most time put in creating it and better sound. Head and shoulders above another way to die, skyfall, and writings on the wall, last two the artist involved brag about not spending more than ten minutes on writing the song.

It may just be he pissed me off by trash talking brosnan, stuff like he wouldn't of written a song from brosnan's bond cause that's how hard core Craig is, crap like that. These singers don't give a crap about the movie they just want the fame.

I'm shocked he died so young first story I read was it may be suicide.

Too young.
d**n it! He did commit suicide. d**n shame he had so many people who cared about him.

I was afraid it was suicide from the description of his wife calling one of his friends and this friend kicking the door of the hotel room in.

I don't have a problem with the cast it seems Star Trek enterprise-ish which will probably kill it. When is it out?

Who? Michelle Yeoh? She's great. Also in guardians of the galaxy vol 2

The first story I read said that it didn't seem likely, he had seemed quite upbeat recently. I guess you never know what's in a person's head.

The cause of death has been determined as hanging by suicide.

Now this looks like more Star Trek than the recent films.
