I don't know if anyone ever posted this but the video above is worth a watch. The section on Daniel Craig is right on the money.
I posted it back in January, but definitely worth a re-watch.

My apologies benny, I only just stumbled across that video on YouTube the other day. Watching the clips in the video was a sobering reminder of how badly Craig aged in the part. He looks like a decrepit old man in Skyfall.
Absolutely no apologies needed, I only mentioned my previous post to explain the potential lack of conversation. It's a great video and The Critical Drinker is a highly respected YouTuber so to hear that he holds the same views as we do here is vindication.

Craigy's crags had to why "Bond" was rewritten from neophyte to neandertal in two films. One second he's a fresh young rookie and the next he's a grizzled over the hill relic.

There is more movie excitement with Maverick now than there was with any of Cr-egg's Bond films. People enjoy excitement and escapism which Broccoli continually fails to recognize, as do her writers.

I wasn't 100% sure about the first one (although I did suspect it's OHMSS) but I knew the other three.

Kim Newman's (less than enthusiastic) review of the new Jurassic World movie also compares it to a "dinosaurian Bond movie". Nature abhors a vacuum:

I can all but guarantee he does not, unless it is in an "ironic" hate read sort of way.

P.S. Love his tiara BTW!

The worst reviewed Jurassic movie of all time, Jurassic World Dominion, is topping all expectations with a $142.1M opening, that’s only 4% off the debut of the last movie, Fallen Kingdom, which opened to $148m. It also has a CinemaScore of A-, so the heck with the so-called critics ideas. Now Kris can go see it.
31% TOMATOMETER for 280 Reviews-------80% AUDIENCE SCORE for 2,500+ Verified Ratings-------the disconnect between the public and the Hollywood critics proves the point why award shows are no longer watched by the masses. The critics are meaningless and are an obsolete entity which needs retirement.

Weeell...I don't pay much attention to user scores either, because self-selecting Internet polls are notoriously unreliable. But the consensus seems to be that it is a fun ride, just overstuffed with too many characters and subplots. So I will probably end up seeing it when I go on holiday in a few weeks' time.

So, family saw the new Jurassic world kids loved it , adults liked it, thought it tried to revisit a lot of the first movies but wouldn’t say more than this .
Seems adults might not be blown away but still enjoy it.

Critics want to hate the Jurassic movies like they do traditional Bond movies. Even marvel and other franchises once the get big enough to support themselves they are fair game to criticize. Seems critics rip “ cheap”cgi and action movies meant to entertain the masses, just another disconnect

Last Jurassic movie I felt universal undersold it and could be bigger.

At the moment, bookies still view former Bridgerton hunk Rege-Jean Page as the favorite to put on the tux with odds of 5/2. Coming in at a close second is Henry Cavill at 4/1, Aidan Turner at 8/1, Tom Hardy at 6/1 and Idris Elba at 12/1. However, the word is, after scoring favorably in market research, producers are considering Elba for the role coveted role of James Bond. Recently a source told the Sun newspaper that “Idris has long been in talks to play a role in the next era of James Bond’s story and last year was being considered for a role as an antagonist. However, talks surrounding him playing the lead have started again as producers realized how popular he would be after carrying out secret  market research. He ranked highly among the diverse group of movie buffs invited to participate in it. They didn’t want to see him as a nemesis, they want him as the hero.”

The Sun is a trashy tabloid. I wouldn't give too much credence to anything they print.

Idris Elba for Bond
Idris Elba is reportedly in talks once again to star in the lead role in the James Bond films.

The actor, 49, was confirmed as being 'part of the conversation' to be the next 007 by the blockbuster franchise's producer Barbara Broccoli, 61, earlier this year.

He had previously ditched the idea of playing the spy and discussed the idea of playing a villain instead, but he is again being considered after he ranked highly in market research, according to The Sun.
