Ugh.. I WISH I could forget about Javier Bardem's bad guy.. can you say "Hannibal Lecter Ripoff?"

WRT Rachel Weisz..it'd be assumed that most people aren't aware she's married to Daniel Craig(which would make it nepotism)..WRONG.

It would make it incredibly cheesey.

Den of Geek had a story yesterday about Daniel Craig playing Michael Caine's son in a forthcoming movie. But it turned out that the headline writer goofed, and actually meant Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel is a very odd looking fellow. His look changed drastically from the day he was hired to the day he was announced at the PR stunt, there was at least one further look released as a trial ballon before CR started filming, then the final product a spray on tan Steve McQueen.

Seeing his recent picture reinforce how awkward he can be. He has aged rather poorly in such a short time. I do agree surgery would be risky for him.

Daniel Radcliffe has been in the news recently. I would almost believe with those glasses Daniel Craig was trying for the part problem is Michael Caine looks more youthful ;)

kater23 wrote:OK.. I needed time to think this through:

Here is why I am so against the idea of Mark Strong as Blofeld. It's everything to do with the hair. Or lack thereof I should say. What have I said in the past: I would be OK with a proto-Blofeld, with hair and maybe not even *called* Blofeld.

But with the supposed casting of Strong, it's looking like they're just going with Dr. Evil Blofeld. Which is not a win. It's s "we're too lazy and we don't care that people are going to take the p!ss because it's Dr. Evil Blofeld" move on Eon's part.

Or else they'd give him a bad wig. Not sure which is worse. :?
Firstly, Strong is imposing enough that I think he'd be closer to Telly Savalas's Blofeld than Donald Pleasance's, as parodied by Mike Myers. Secondly, the last Austin Powers film is now 12 years old, and the character has started to fade from the public consciousness. Fear of AP comparisons has long been used as an excuse for sucking all the fun out of the Bond films, but the excuse is wearing thin.

*Shakes head* gonna have to disagree with you. The AP movies are on cable enough, even now that I seriously doubt people have forgotten Dr. Evil.

only bond fans will know about Blofeld and the serious ones at that. The ones who watch the old movies. For the children of the 80s&90s Dr evil is who they will think of. Bond has not used that character for a very long time.

What was the reason? I thought it was pulling in good ratings?

It did 2.4 million in Live+3 ratings but only a .4 (18-49). The advertisers are happier with a show drawing 6 million viewers with a 3.0 (18-49) rating than 10 million with a 1.0 (18-49) rating, in a general sense. Many are fuming on the internet websites and the producer already had a 60 page rough draft for 15 episodes of season 4 but now it cannot be used...........unless the producers shop it to another cable channel, which I hope it does :!:

I don't understand this mentality. It seems to be rooted in an era when people of working age had the most disposable income, whereas retirees are now often wealthier than working people due to the long-term decline in wages and salaries over the last 35 years, once inflation is taken into account.

People 30-60 drive the economy buying houses, cars takng trips, etc. The 18-25 crowd is in financial debt and buy i-phones and electronics, etc. The advertisers are ridiculous in their assumptions.

I would have thought the most obvious choice for Blofeld would be Bryan Cranston.

So far this week I have heard the Goldfinger theme twice on television. It was used in an advert for The Apprentice and it was also used on the X Factor.

Also, "Everything Wrong With Skyfall In 4 Minutes Or Less":
