Pattinson's new Batman incarnate-----I am not sure he can pull it off.

WTF? 90s wanna be grunge music with a few Batman clips mixed in. I think they are trying to hard to repeat the jokers success with dystopian hero world , I’m not sure it works. Batman did seem to be Batman with the exception of the beatdown taken a few too many punches then using a line from the punisher. Now there were stories at the end of Batman career where he came close to being too violent and sometimes using a gun, basically where he decides he’s no longer Batman. There are also alternate stories where Batman is more violent and less about justice .

The new Flashpoint film will have Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck BOTH starring as Batman in alternate universes. :hair: Three Bat-MEN in 2 different films?-------In comics, the Flashpoint storyline begins with Barry Allen waking up in a very different DC Universe. Atlantis is at war with Themyscira, nobody has ever heard of Superman, and in Gotham City, Bruce Wayne was murdered in front of his parents’ eyes, and his father became the Caped Crusader instead. Barry is the only person who remembers that it used to be any different, and, eventually, he realizes that it’s all his fault. The Flashpoint timeline was created when Barry Allen used the power of the Speed Force to travel back in time to stop the villainous Eobard Thawne from murdering his mother (this will sound familiar to fans of the CW’s Flash TV series). That single change rippled out through the DC Universe, leading to enormous changes in history and the lives of his allies in the Justice League.

I think dc created a mess following Zack Snyder‘s vision and abandoning Christopher Nolan‘s. They can’t quite get back to 2012 where they had it good . And the can’t quite get what marvel studios did to make all their characters work on screen.
Flash point is kind of the days of future past reset , but not quite endgame .

Dunno could be good but I never really liked Keaton’s Batman, absolutely hated George Clooney‘s thank god they didn’t give home a call.

Keaton stunk in 1989 in the role. Bale was the best Batman. Pattinson is highly questionable and how many reboots of the same storylines can they do before people say enough already? Will it be a new Batman every 10 years for the next crop of teens to run to the movie theaters to see?

It's the same thing with Spiderman. At least this one seems to have a valid reason for having two Batmen, establishing a multiverse.

Sad news: Daniel Craig's father has just died. We may not like him as Bond, but I hope we can all have the basic human decency to commiserate him on his loss.

Liver cancer? Cr-egg better lay off getting drunk repeatedly if he wants to be around a long time, given what his father had.

I am shocked. 4 years fighting this , meaning his role in black panther was in the middle of fighting this. Every time we saw him in a marvel movie he was struggling with this. What a great example for us all.
What impresses me even more is these marvel roles a extremely physically demanding, all of the male stars are expected to be in top physical shape, boseman did it and kept the fight with cancer. I know they used body doubles and other things, I’m sure Disney had to know about his condition and they deserve credit for allowing him to play the role out until the end.

This guy was a real class act, not to call other actors out but I think roger Moore was the same kind of guy, someone who acted while being hurt without the audience having a clue he wasn’t anything but at his best.

RIP

James Gunn posted on Facebook last night that he met him a few times while working on Marvel movies, and had no idea that he was ill.

Will a new actor do the sequel, or will it end now?---------let your thoughts gnaw away on this deleted ending scene:

Black Panther 2 was scheduled for May 2022, but I don't know if any of it had been shot yet. I suspect they will abandon it. Recasting it with a new actor might seem a bit...cold.

There is a chance he filmed something already, there’s an episode for Disney plus with his sister (the q branch girl) called what if? Possibly something could be done there to change actors.
Everyone wondered why the newly minted black panther was one of the disappeared in infinity war, may be Disney was preparing to come with with a reason to explain why he changes looks/is recast. Most movie forums assumed it was because Disney was caught off guard how popular the black panther movie would be, that could be true too. Given Disney had to know about his health problems there may be more to the decisions made. There’s also the dr strange movie which might explain some cast changes as it tried to set in the nex X-men series to be part of the Disney marvel universe

I think recasting would be a bad idea. Whatever in-universe explanation they came up with, the audience would be constantly aware of the real reason. And I think they might have difficulty finding another actor to step into the role. You know how one of the standard questions for the "Do you have any questions for us?" part of a job interview is "Why did this job become vacant...?"

I doubt many actors would be bothered, the possibility of the big time right in front of them. Lord knows it’s the only reason Craig took the bond job. A few wiser actors might be hesitant to take on a roll left in Black Panther but Disney’s got to do something with it eventually.
I don’t see them leaving wakanda alone
