Hum I'll have to compare it to other marvel movies.
I keep reading Spider-Man saves Sony, I need to look up what the profit shares were as I remember it Disney was the big winner with Sony getting a very small share mostly from distribution.
Obviously Sony is interested in this version of how Spider-Man helps them, but it could be true
Ok marvel does not share in the profits but gets paid upfront for producing, and the rights to use Spider-Man in their movies.
They also own tv rights and all merchandising .
So it might save Sony but they have to get at least $600 million or more to brake even.
Probably cost $375 million total.
What will tell the tale is if sonys spinoffs crash and burn like they usually do.
It looks like this thread WILL reach 1 million VIEWS before Cr-egg vacates the role, if this news is true. --------------“Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists,” he said when asked if he’d do a fifth film. “No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”
Actually one of Sean Connery' bonds is the highest grossing in history, Craig and Brosnan's are only big on paper bo totals, Connery sold more tickets total
Welcome to this particular thread TBP82. It's all over tv in New York City's gossip reports today as well. One anchor says he would slit his wrists if Cr-egg came back, as a parody statement to what Cr-egg said, while his tv sidekick lady said she loves him as Bond. Broccoli loves this spin as it's free publicity. She loves Cr-egg and there seems to be no stopping her idolization of him as her creation in the role.

Should we be procedding with the notion that this information is accurate or should we take it with a grain of salt?

Personally I'm taking it all with large grains of salt. The stories are filled with old rumors and contradictions, why they are cropping up now is beyond me but I can't take them too seriously.
The Rouge Warrior, On Hermaphrodite's Secret Service
I have to wonder if these rumors are how EON test the water for some of their ideas. Sort of dabbing their toe to make sure it's worthwhile before diving in with a ridiculously large offer to Craig.
The Rouge Warrior, On Hermaphrodite's Secret Service
Pretty much all businesses nowadays use social media to generate free market research. Why wouldn't they? EON are way behind the curve in terms of social media engagement with the fans. That's why coverage of Bond is mostly dominated by rumours from anonymous sources. Their message discipline sucks.
"He's the one that doesn't smile" - Queen Elizabeth II on Daniel Craig
This reminds me of the Casino Royale casting we heard Brosnan was returning numerous times even as actors such as Cavill and Worthington were being confirmed to be in the mix there was always a rumuor that Brosnan was in negotiations or that he was still top choice etc...

The actuals were the same as the estimate, which is somewhat unusual. Normaly, the estimates are off by a million or two. It's the 7th best opening of the 16 MCU movies, though that is unadjusted. Box Office Mojo didn't have an adjusted chart.

Spielberg, Hanks, and Streep are here RIGHT NOW on West 44th street in NYC filming The Post The movie features Hanks and Streep as Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and publisher Kay Graham who, in 1971, battled the federal government for the right to publish the Pentagon Papers. For those too young to remember, the Pentagon Papers were a leaked study from the Department of Defense that "detailed the U.S. government’s military involvement in Vietnam." Spielberg is sitting in his director's chair on the street now.
