Just read a story on Screenrant about how NTTD's script was constantly being rewritten on the fly, but that doesn't mean it's going to be a mess like QOS, no siree Bob. It just means that it has the difficult task of wrapping up the Craig era with a satisfying conclusion. Yes, that's it.

The PR machine whirs to life! No, no, despite what you've heard this isn't a cobbled together piece of crap... Well it is, but it was done out of love!

I like this line "And if a fluid script was a sign of trouble behind-the-scenes rather than a healthy drive for constant improvement, Daniel Craig's comments probably wouldn't have found their way onto the official James Bond podcast."

Since when does bad PR stop EON, nobody told Craig to shut up about "slashing his wrists" or told Lynch to keep quiet about her tampons.

I find the amount of time "007" is used rather than James Bond a bit suspicious, as well as the phrase "007's final chapter" bandied about too liberally.

Hmm...

For those 'lucky' ones residing in jolly England: To celebrate the upcoming release of Daniel Craig's final outing as 007 in No Time to Die, The Graham Norton Show has invited some of the biggest current Bond stars to be a part of the season's opening episode on Friday, September 24. Joining Graham in the studio for the chat show's return are James Bond himself Daniel Craig, Bohemian Rhapsody star and Bond baddie Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, and Lashana Lynch.

That should just read "current stars," there's nothing "big" within the pantheon of Bond about them, except maybe Craig and that's only because he is the reining Bond.

Running time confirmed as 2 hours 43 minutes. DB may want to drink a double espresso before making his noble sacrifice.

I'd need a double chloroform before entering the cinema to watch NTTD for 4 hours.

NTTD has been passed by the Chinese film censor. Good for EON's bank balance, I suppose....

New interview with Lashana Lynch. A lot of it simply repeats stuff she's said before, but she does seem to officially deny that Nomi is intended as a permanent replacement for Bond (which I never believed anyway): https://www.theguardian.com/culture/202 ... 1631439695

Almost word for word repeats from articles printed two years ago, couldn't be EON talking points could they?

My biggest take away:

“We are in a place in time where the industry is not just giving audiences what it thinks the audience wants,” Lynch continues. “They’re actually giving the audience what they want to give the audience."

We're not even trying to hide the ball anymore! Well gang you keep doing that and the audience will keep staying away in droves.

Saw the new documentary Being James Bond EON/MGM's retrospective on their boy Danny's time as Bond. Nothing we haven't heard before in the decade and a half of his highness' tenure, but two things stood out:

1) Babz brags about the homoerotic line from SF "What makes you think this is my first time." Apparently an executive suggested cutting it, but of course she kept it. At the premiere it garnered a chuckle from the audience and she looked at this executive in vindication. Of course what she failed to realize is premieres are attended by the stars, media shills, studio employees and their families, so of course they're going to chortle and coo at all the right places.

2) Of special interest to members of this group was the coverage of the controversy surrounding Craig's casting. The film first concentrates on the media coverage of the firestorm "Blond Bond" etc. then briefly mentions "CraigNotBond.com," for those unaware it is a contemporary site to ours. However our site is nowhere to be found! I guess they finally got the memo every time they mention us we only get bigger, maybe someone at EON has been reading my work? They further say CraigNotBond was started by teenagers (which may be true IDK) and pretend this group of youngsters were responsible for all the negativity surrounding their golden boy.

Go ahead and stick your head in the sand Babz, maybe your gravy train will survive another miscasting and decade of non-Bond films.

Craignotbond is what this site used to be called. I can't remember why they changed the name, I think it was before even my time here.

There is a CraigNotBond.com, they've been mentions alongside us in EON's media before. They don't have a forum nor are they as prolific as we are, the last article is dated July 2020, not to mention they're sponsored by pornography sites, so I imagine that's why EON feel safe mentioning them exclusively this time around.

The original CNB was I think a take on the site commander bond down to the logo. The original site was launched, got to be early in to filming CR and it hit the news big. Big enough apparently in that news cycle still critical of Craig, Craig almost quit.

Sometime may june 2006 the original website owner was doxed. Started receiving threats at home and work. It was relaunched as dcinb because the CNB was still in the original owners name I thought somebody told me they were given all the discs and information so somebody else could keep it going. But considering some of the brosnan fan club people involved I don’t know if anybody knew they had the information if they did get it.

Ge or somebody else can tell you better. Most of this is second hand from them or others

One of the videos years ago I think had our website down to the web address. Not surprised Babs would ignore us this time after we enjoyed the publicity. Got to say anybody else would be smart enough to ignore us completely. This site lives in her head for free. Got to love that.

That's quite interesting Big O, if any of the "old timer" can shed a little more light on things, I for one would be fascinated to hear it.

That was probably the documentary Everything Or Nothing produced in conjunction with the promotion of Skyfall in 2012. I know because that was exactly what lead me to this site nearly a decade ago (my how time flies!), right down to the screen shot and web address! To tell the truth that was part of the reason why I watched this latest EON self aggrandizement, to see if they did it again and if so whether they used the same dated shot or if they grabbed a new one which I might recognize.
