The article links to a PDF of the report, though bear in mind that it's about 20 pages long. I must confess, I couldn't be bothered to read the whole thing.

Too much information to summarise here, though I was pleasantly surprised to see that Pierce is viewed more favourably than the killer with the crag-like face by a margin of 10 percentage points (81% and 71% respectively).

I am not, maybe because in all the croatian polls he always comes in second after Connery while Moore comes third. Yes. even at the time of "new wave of Bondmania" a. k. a Skyfall.

Of the 2201 people surveyed , only 1717 heard of bond of those 30% have not watched the movies and 10-20 may not have heard about certain movies . 24% of surveyed have no ideas about bond. Of those who have heard of bond 30% have no idea about recent bond movie , 40-50% have watched the movies,

“No and I have not heard of”
TLD 27%
LTK 14%
GE 16%
TND 15%
TWINE 21%
DAD 14%
CR 11%
QOS 20%
SF 18%
SP 19%

51% say James Bond is a classis series and noting should change.

Connery and brosnan have the best favorable ratings. Considering how much PR is pumped in to Craig’s image his numbers are pathetic with 13% negative favorability.

Lazenby is 23% neg
Daltion 21% neg

What happens with the pots for these betting pools? Do they keep building up until a new 007 is announced or after so many days do the bookies get to keep to proceeds? I do not gamble still it struck me that these odds makers have been playing this game of 'Who is gonna be the Next Bond' for over a decade taking in how knows how many bets. Then I wondered about where the money goes.

They let people have long term bets. You have to keep the ticket or email confirmation. And make sure that the betting company does not delete the account because of inactivity.

If Aiden Turner played Bond in Bond 26 I don't think it would bankrupt the bookmakers.
Bring back Bond!

This week it's Max Irons, who I know little about beyond the fact that he's Jeremy's son.

Catherine Zeta-Jones admitted she was heartbroken when her husband Michael Douglas was accused of sexual misconduct.

“My children and I were profoundly devastated by those allegations,” the 49-year-old Welsh actress told The Times of London Sunday. “And I was torn about where my absolute morals lie. This woman came out of nowhere and accused my husband. I had a very big conversation with him, with the kids in the room, and said, ‘Do you understand if more comes out…’”

In January of this year, journalist Susan Braudy claimed that Douglas, 74, masturbated in front of her :hair: during a meeting in the late 1980s when she worked for his production company. In response, Douglas told Deadline that the allegation was “a complete lie, fabrication, no truth to it whatsoever.”

“My kids are really upset, [and they have] to go to school worrying this is going to be in some article about me, being a sexual harasser,” the actor said at the time. “They’re scared and very uncomfortable…. I’m bewildered why, after 32 years, this is coming out, now.”

Well, at the rate EON makes films, he probably wouldn't be Bond for another 5 years or so anyway.

I saw Fantastic Beasts 2 today. It is enjoyable for Potter fans. Other mentioned characters in the Potter films are now being explored. It started out slowly but gained steam. There are timelines and plot holes that Rowling will need to explain when the next 3 films come out. A few years back Rowling told a bunch of children that
Spoiler
Dumbledore was gay
and that was definitely relevant to the plot in it's subtle way. These films probably won't get a younger group of viewers as the 8 Potter films did, as children grew up watching Harry. Hermione, and Ron grow up, but they should do just fine. Rowling also has her left-wing ideology at play also within the plot. I would rate it a B+ overall.

New director Cary, who is still working on the script, has said the film will be a continuation of the character’s arc which began in 2006’s Casino Royale. Speaking with Inquirer.net, he said: “In terms of what I can bring to change the character, Bond is on a character arc that started with Casino Royale, and I will be carrying that on. There will be changes, I am sure. As in any story, a character has to change in order [to have] a narrative.” On planning action scenes for Bond 25, Cary teased: “A little bit, but not all yet. “I am trying to get the narrative stuff sorted out and have a good story to tell.” The director also promised aspects of the 007 formula will still be around. He added: “Yeah, there will be the things in the Bond-verse that you have come to expect,” he promised. “I can’t say too much, though.” On working with Craig, Cary said: “Daniel is an incredible actor. Outside of Bond, I have been a fan for years of his work. For me, he was the best part of Road to Perdition. In his first Bond movie, Casino Royale, he brought an incredible amount of 'vulnerability and humanity' :hair: to the character, which was a big shift from Pierce Brosnan’s run.”

The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

He obviously didn’t see brosnans run.
Everything he said is vague and meant to imply oh it’s still a going to be a bond movie. While they make a movie that sounds distinctly more none bond than normal.
Just from how this guy speaks, if he truly believes his nonsense double speak, the Bond franchise is in very big trouble. Are you happy now babs?

This article could have been shortened to: Speaking with Inquirer.net the new director of Bond 25 said a lot of useless jargon nonsense without going in to any detail, indicating the production is a mess and nothing has been sorted.

Craig's story arc? You mean from incompetent tough guy, to weepy incompetent tough guy, to weepy, incompetent, homoerotic old man, to weepy, incompetent, younger brother? What's next, weepy, incompetent, tough maternal aunt?

Craig was the best thing about Road to Perdition?! You meant to say that's the only Craig film you can name! You must have forgotten his tour de force performance in Logan Lucky!

Sounds like the rubbish people were saying in 2006 to prop up Craig.

Though to be fair, you can hardly expect him to say "Well, he's no Sean Connery, but I suppose he'll have to do".

Edit: though it would be hilarious if he did.

https://www.eon.co.uk/nancy/ Broccoli says she hoped films such as Nancy will make audiences and the industry reconsider how women are viewed. Yet she acknowledges how much power for change is in her hands. Wouldn’t hiring a female director – or screenwriter – on the next James Bond film send the strongest message? “Yes, absolutely,” says Broccoli. “You wanna make a great film and you wanna find the people who can make that film at that particular time. [But] as a female producer, of course I’d like to do that.”............Nancy: Box Office Gross USA: only $80,115 total in 11 theaters maximum :!:  -----run ended after 6 weeks on July 15 2018-------how much more of this will it take before Broccoli realizes she is nothing outside of Bond, which she inherited, and is ruining?
