I expect that's part of it DB, particularly in recent years compared to the days of Bondmania. Add in the PR pieces (maybe paid) and hype that you get amongst the critics' reviews and it's not too surprising. On the other hand a good few of the audience reviews are bound to be a bit more extreme and sometimes more ignorant than the critics' ones, just because the critics have a minimum standard of quality and perceived objectivity or balance to uphold, whereas an audience member that doesn't like the movie or just wants to troll will delight in giving a one or two star rating. Anyone can write an audience review so the worst reviews will be of a much lower standard than the critics' reviews but on the other hand, the very best audience reviews - the dirty bennys of this world  - will often prove to be more insightful, honest and even more entertaining than the critics' reviews.

I see your point there Acid. Especially with Goldfinger, on one hand it is, if you'll pardon the pun, the gold standard of Bond, yet on the other so many keyboard commandos rush to vilify the "patriarchal elements" in that film.

Cr-egg's wife gets a role in Marvel? The film looks a lot Bourne-ish as a stand alone for Black Widow.

More of the same really. He really doesn't seem to care, at least at times, what the public think of him, but then if he's mentally done with the role, I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out old boy! Compare that to Henry Cavill who recently defended fandom as passionate rather than "toxic." What Bond needs next is an ambassador like Cavill to promote the brand in order to undo the decade and a half of begrudging expletive laced diatribes we've been subjected to by Craig.

It’s a old quote about him wanting to punch fans over shaken not stirred. Maybe it is current he probably kept on saying it

Interesting the narrative is continuing that Craig is a ass who doesn’t appreciate his opportunity as bond.

Love that Wonder Woman trailer. However, in this political climate, I'd approach it cautiously.

As for that Bond trailer, it's rather obvious Lashana Lynch was the token casting among the rest. I wouldn't take her seriously at all if her acting was as stiff as she was sleepwalking through her dialogues. And Malek's villain looks like a poor imitation of Ken Watanabe's Mr. Saito from Inception. Still, it can't be as bad as Skyfall... or can it?

ragnarok was totally a 1980 techno them and graphics, this Ww84 feels the same

This kind of gives a feel of it but I can’t find the best trailer to demonstrate it

I watched RAG-narok (emphasis on the RAG), and I cannot believe how bad a plot it was. WW should be better than that hopefully but bringing back Pine, who is a horrifically bad actor, is a mistake, and a miscast from the start. Pine should NOT be in show business.

Eon could go retro and make a Bond film like the old ones with an actor who is like Bond.
