An interesting article.
And if nothing continues to happen, I’ll be fine with it. Leave it at a nice solid 25.
If you didn’t like the Craig era, I guarantee you’ll hate whatever reboot happens.
I think I'm increasingly inclined to believe this too, with the slight correction that I consider it a solid 20 EON Bond films, with NSNA looking more solid than any of the Craig ones as far as I’m concerned.

I’m so tired of all this that it’s hard to get excited, or even that curious anymore, about anything new they come up with.

Mission Impossible has shown that excellent spy action movies of the sort we like can still be made, but well, I consider that franchise an exception, an anomaly, that bucks the current trends in movie making.

You may know I like the early Terminator films. I think what’s happened to that franchise is relevant to the future of Bond. With Terminator they keep trying to make successful sequels, but they keep having disappointing results, and it seems to be something to do with them feeling torn between trying to invoke nostalgia for the first 2 films (well really just the second one) and trying to appeal to newer audiences and tastes. With action films you can’t possibly please all possible viewers at once. Cubby got pretty close though.

Truer words were never spoken, we saw what we got with Craig and that wasn't with the added benefit of all the bizarre prerequisites imposed by the various governing bodies in Hollywood!!

Barbara is DONE with the franchise. It looks like the ending of NTTD was HER idea, and a perfect way to end the franchise so she can be free of it finally. The question remains......what is BEZOS thinking watching this indifference progress year by year now, not month by month? ONE film since 2015!

It's funny, FBF was saying years ago that the franchise should come to an end, because the damage that Craggy had done to it was irreparable. Now more and more people are saying it, and not just here. Me, I'm wavering between that position and not wanting Bond to go out on the low note that was NTTD. I can't see anything good coming from the current regime, though.

FBF has left this building....for good. Who knows what became of him in his universe. His final post here was in 2018:

You were partly right. Craggy's Bond career is finished, all right, but Danny Boyle (the pipes, the pipes are calling) had the good sense to jump ship beforehand. FBF was way off.

The last I heard, he was engaged in some quixotic campaign to persuade Hollywood to "give" Pierce Brosnan more action movies. But that was some years ago. No idea what he's doing now.

I had a quick look and the forum is still there. As for your second question, no idea.

Same here. I wonder if it’s taking a bribe. Although why bond would want a delicatessen in stainless steel is still kind of a mystery to me.

I don't know about the forum, but they do have a Twitter and from what I've been shown it could give us a run for the money in EON bashing!
