I find it disturbing that a lot of current Bond fans, from 2000 and on, have no clue about the origin films and many have not even watched them. These people say that Cr-egg is the best Bond, yet many have never bothered to watch a Connery film!

Absolutely BJ, people crowing about the Craig-Bond being "BEST BOND EVA!" Yet have no idea what a "Bond film" is! The sad fact is Craig has been in the role so long there are adults who have only known him as Bond!

Many people just like the latest Bond movies and actor. It was a long time ago now but Pierce Brosnan was very popular because he was the current Bond.

Four writers as a rule of thumb is two to three too many. And on a ballooning franchise with so many interests, Nokia product placement deals and various other things to keep in order this finished product feels distinctly like multiple disjointed voices and parts Frankensteined together with so much production money that you can almost overlook perhaps the most underwhelming part of it, Rami Malek’s villain Safin.

:) It's nice to see some more reviews raising some of the points we've been going on about for years. A pity they spelt Fleming wrong, though!

Well given some of the people actually making the Bond films don't seem to be very familiar with them, or the books, what can we expect? :(

Very true. And current movies being trendy to people. Most want to be part of those who get something or enjoy something their peers say is cool. I think it’s that way for the UK even though kingsman is more authentically British than the American producers with accents making bond.

As my youngest daughter has finished the Marvel series, Mission Impossible films and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, she has enquired about Bond.

I found my old DVD boxsets last night so I'm going to re-watch all of them. Should be interesting to see if my rankings change. Its been a few years.
“I'd like to thank the Royal Marines for bringing me in like that and scaring the s--- out of me,” Bond Hardman Daniel Craig.

I know someone who seen no time to die she likes it, said something about the bond formula working. I dunno, they’ve been off formula for a long time. Curious how these glowing reviews play out over time. I think it’ll be worse than spectre, far as initial positive then negative as time goes on

Positive reviews are strictly coming from neo-fans, none other than fanboy number one Calvin Dyson gives this stink burger a thumbs down!

No Time To Die certainly did nothing to inspire the The A.V. Club. Their film editor A.A. Dowd gave the film a C, placing the film at the bottom of Craig’s run. Dowd writes, “No Time To Die is forgettable in all the places that usually count—it’s a Bond movie with little excitement or panache. ”-----yet estimates claim it should do over $100 million here this weekend. They will drink the sand when they are thirsty not knowing the difference.

Cr-egg was on Jimmy Kimmel the loser's show last night. It is obvious Cr-egg hates doing press work for these films. He looked awkward and uncomfortable being interviewed about the film. He was bleeped out twice for his usual cursing, as is the low-life he remains. He admitted this was his worst gun barrel opening because he was skipping a little while walking and that was further proof he said it was time for him to go.

Seydoux: "I think I can thank Daniel in a way because he's a feminist and it's because of him that the female characters have changed so much. It was time to now have stronger female characters so I'm really happy for that," she added.

Seydoux's role in the new film is also significant in that she's the only woman to play the role in two 007 movies. She called the stat "incredible."

"I guess James Bond has become romantic," she said with a laugh, adding that the movie is "extremely emotional."

"We get to understand the relationship between James Bond and Madeleine and why they are so connected because they are both orphans," she explained. "This time it's very emotional and maybe the reason why people have really connected to this story."-----so the reason people want to pay money to see a Bond film is because we want to see the emotional connection between orphans :?: :!: :hair: ---------she was born the year AVTAK was released and she is telling the world what a Bond film should be like :?: :!: :hair: ------the gall of this half-assed nitwit :!:

No Time to Die‘s $6.3 million number yesterday in the USA is lower than last Thursday’s $11.6M charted by Venom: Let There Be Carnage (the second-best preview night during the pandemic after Black Widow‘s $13.2M). NTTD did only HALF of the other two films :!:  Watch them spin it as a great thing. The end of Cr-egg is finally upon us so spread the word throughout the land and to all the inhabitants thereof...........NO MORE DANIEL CR-EGG :!: FORK TIME :!: DONE :!: :happy spin:

Here is the spin on Variety.com: MGM’s “No Time to Die,” which marks the actor’s last stint as James Bond, opened to $6.3 million in Thursday previews, the best for a Bond film. The previous record for a 007 opening night was “Spectre’s” $5.3 million in 2015, and before that “Skyfall” made $4.6 million from advance showings. Craig’s fifth and final Bond film is on pace to earn between $60 million to $70 million in its opening weekend.........they deliberately omitted the fact that it was HALF the totals of Venom and Black Widow. They were hyping over $100 million a few days ago here.

Look at what this idiot believes: Noah Berlatsky, 'cultural' critic: “No Time to Die” is the final James Bond film starring Daniel Craig. It’s a transitional movie, focused on history and legacy. As such, it pointedly references and reprises the first Craig film, 2006’s “Casino Royale.” These Craig Bond bookends work together to demonstrate that the 'best Bond films are NOT actually about Bond.' :hair: As a result, it inadvertently makes a strong case for retiring 007 once and for all.

The New Yorker synopsis: NTTD throbs with old wounds. It’s often exciting, but there’s something inward and agonized about the thrills, and the insouciance of Connery’s epoch, for better or worse, seems like ancient history. “No Time to Die” has a heavy heart, and right now, more than ever, we could use a light one. As we trickle back to cinemas, is it merely frivolous to hope that a James Bond flick should leave us feeling cheered up?

Started watching Moonraker tonight (To be finished tomorrow). Both my daughters have enjoyed it so far.

Two new classic Bond fans 👍
