Daniel Craig retires to run a cheese shop in Switzerland. What would you do with the next Craigless Bond film?

It would depend on the audience reaction to Craigs next two Bond films, and who they cast to replace him, but I think it's a little bit early to specualte what will or could happen.
I'm happy with the direction at present, and feel the series needed to be brought back down to earth.
Panic not though, I'm sure there will be an over the top Bond film somewhere down the line. If the previous series is anything to go by, this is just part of the cycle.

Depends on how well Craig’s last Bond movie does. If it's better than CR the producers are going to think about keeping the next actor's direction close to DC's.
If the next movie loses audience and makes less then they will drop everything and try to return to the old formula.

How can you know any of this?Blowfeld wrote:Depends on how well Craig’s last Bond movie does. If it's better than CR the producers are going to think about keeping the next actor's direction close to DC's.

It's mere speculation. I mean no-one knew that Pierce was going to be dropped and the series given a makeover the likes of which had never been seen. Although controversial a clear winner so far as fans, critics and box office were concerened. Daniel Craig has even stated the opinion of the members of this very site helped him acheive his goal of making a great Bond film. So what happens next really could be anything.
We may have a bisexual, colored OO7...who knows.

In one of the interviews on the special features of Casino Royale, he speaks of the negative reaction from some of the fans, and says that it spurred him on, it inspired him. I think you'll find many members who enjoy both Craig and CR were perhaps slightly negative beforehand. I changed my opinion after I watched the film. If negative reactions influenced his portrayal then he didn't listen hard enough.Captain Nash wrote:In one of the interviews on the special features of Casino Royale, he speaks of the negative reaction from some of the fans, and says that it spurred him on, it inspired him.
