Fed up with Arnold?

Post by carl stromberg »

Is anyone fed up with David Arnold? Maybe it's time for a change. Can you suggest any replacements?

Unless John Barry wants to return (unlikely), I think Arnold is the next best thing.

I like David Arnold –his Bond and nonbond themes-
Maybe someone can do better.
The rate eon does things they'll dump Arnold in 2 months and proceed with out naming a replacement until the last possible moment. -The replacement will be a virtual unknown who writes video games scores ;)
Make them serious nudes!

I like Arnold. I think some of his best work has been on CR (especially the Barryesque love theme).

I'd like to see Alan Silvestri given a go.

I'd rather listen to the CommanderBond.net monthly podcast than another David Arnold James Bond score.

His score for The Incredibles was very Barryesque - in fact that's the reason he was chosen after Barry dropped out.

It's kinda sad that Arnold, such a big Bond fan, hasn't be able to fully deliver on the unique 007 sound. The end bits of DAD (office with Moneypenny and Hawaii) are quite good. Too bad he isn't consistent.
