She'll probably still be re-releasing NTTD theatrically until then. Apparently, it's getting another re-release, even though the previous one barely made any money.
Gee, great. As if we haven't suffered enough :jack:
Did the movie lose money or not in the end?
It made a profit on its initial theatrical release, but the re-release barely made a nickel.

Can't believe No Time to Die holds a 82% score on RT. I mean, even if the film is "well made" it still has Bond dying and his not so secret love child. I'd take an invisible car over that any day.

A sour, dour, uncouth lout as Bond and this crumb commissioned by Broccoli to sing the theme song: Compare this to Shirley Bassey and you can see the deterioration of the franchise. "DILF"? Another great ambassador for the franchise! NOT!

Steven Spielberg Developing New Movie Based On Classic Steve McQueen Character Frank Bullitt. Why bother? He did not learn his lesson with his West Side Story box office bomb? That earned Oscar nominations but few bothered to see it.

A poster on Deadline summed up the Bond direction quite nicely last month:

The writers and producers torpedoed the Bond franchise with NTTD by abandoning the winning Bond formula. Loyal fans feel betrayed by how the time honored Bond characters have been treated, made over and killed. I went to the theater expecting a traditional Bond movie, but was very disappointed. I won’t get fooled next time and pay money for more distortion of the Bond franchise. By reading other loyal Bond fans comments, this seems to be the consensus. Look at the disaster when they cast Will Smith as James West in the remake of the Wild Wild West movie. Take heed.

A film based on Frank Bullitt, isn't that every action cop film since 1968? Why pick the bones of a 50+ film inviting all sorts of comparison when you could easily invent a new character in that vein?

.....and then: Nearly 14 years after Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull premiered in theaters, Indiana Jones 5 has officially wrapped filming. The news was shared by both Indiana Jones 5 director James Mangold and producer Frank Marshall. There are rumors that it may involve time travel, continuing the franchise's supernatural themes. According to director James Mangold, the film may see Indy search for the Fountain of Youth while facing off against his old foes, the Nazis, in 1960s New York City.

A famous scene from the 1983 Bond movie Octopussy has become, in recent days, unexpectedly eerie. It’s set within a grand Soviet war room and features a deranged Russian military leader called General Orlov (played by Steven Berkoff) who, predicting Putin, espouses the value of a “lightning thrust” into Europe. Nato, says Orlov, is weak and the invasion would lead to “total victory in five days against any possible defence scenario”. And why? “The West is decadent and divided, it has no stomach to risk our atomic reprisals.”

“It’s just like today,” says the longtime Bond producer Michael G Wilson. “Berkoff is effectively playing Putin, showing how he’s going to invade the West. It was the whole plot of the movie, and we did it".

James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson said they are disappointed by the lack of awards recognition for Daniel Craig's last appearance as 007 in No Time To Die. Wilson, 80, said he believed Daniel, 54, deserved more accolades for his role in the film, while Broccoli, 61, said she thinks the actor is 'so convincing' as 007 that people forget he is even acting. Wilson told The Times: 'You're always happy to get nominated, but Daniel not getting any nods is really amazing to me.' -------She said: 'The thing is, when you cast James Bond you're not just casting one movie. You're making a decision that you're going to have live with for at least a decade.' Broccoli said casting Daniel in Casino Royale was made easier as they had already decided to do the reboot followed by five interconnected films. But the producer said it won't be that easy this time around as they have to both cast the new Bond and decide the theme of the movies ahead. 'It's not just, 'Oh, who looks good in a suit?' We have to figure this out on our own,' she added. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/a ... e-Die.html

Well, I certainly forget he is acting... in what is supposed to be a Bond movie, that is.
Also, I don't for a second believe they decided all the way back in 2005 the films are going to be interconnected. The last two movies in particular were a mess, a desperate attempt to connect everything together and give it a "grander" meaning or something. Everything about it is so half-baked there's no way anyone thought of this 15+ years ago.

It's not just, 'Oh, who looks good in a suit?'

And how about you start here, huh? You ignored this 17 years ago and look where we are now.
