The 1960s was the best decade, by far :!: That's where the magic all started and the world went nuts over it. Connery IS James Bond. The rest are mere pretenders to his throne, albeit most do an adequate job carrying on the mystique, except Cr-egg............Boxoffice.com: 'Sony reports Spectre posted $2.4 million in first place again on Wednesday. With $137 million in the domestic bank through 13 days of release, the 24th James Bond film is pacing 23 percent behind Skyfall and 16 percent ahead of Quantum of Solace'.................Now is where we will see the front loaded bomb ECH-TRE truly is. With SK-AWFUL, in it's second full week in the USA, from Monday thru Wednesday, it did $17 million over those 3 weekdays. ECH-TRE has done ONLY $8 million over those 3 same days. That's a 3 day 53% drop off for the same time period. Katniss buries this trash starting tomorrow :!:  FBF, it's time to raise the flag of victory and order 66 to be executed.

You guys better read this, and don't think that I should be the only one here who must be very happy by this news. Hopefully his career will be rebooted.

Order 66 is only if Babs remains as producer when the traditional Bond actor returns.

that drop is a shock. Sony saying its ahead of qos is meaningless because of ticket inflation . I bet raw number they sold a lot less tickets

Agreed. If you look at the really iconic Bond images, they all come from the '60s movies. The only one of the subsequent Bond films to come close is TSWLM, with the introduction of Jaws and the Lotus Esprit.

60's definitely are the golden age of Bond and IMO are the best decade in the 20th century.
If we look at it as a whole Bond movies from the 60's definitely are the best.
It's simply laughable when someone starts comparing Craig to Connery. That's a earth and sky comparison to me.

My favourite Bond decade is this one. We've had the dreary Skyfall, the embarrassing Spectre and it will be rounded off with another Bond with a 60 year old Daniel Craig in 2019.

SK-AWFUL after 14 days in the USA: $185,641,149-----------------ECH-TRE after 14 days in the USA: $139,102,879-----it's down $46 million already and it will go much lower starting today and Broccoli won't enjoy the debacle...............Boxoffice.com: Spectre slipped down to second place to begin its third weekend of release, pulling $4.28 million for a "58" percent drop from last Friday. The 24th James Bond film's 15-day domestic total now stands at $143.4 million, putting it only 10 percent ahead of the pace of Quantum of Solace through Friday, and "28" percent behind Skyfall..........QOS did $18,833,552 it's 3rd USA weekend in 2008. Guess what? ECH-TRE is on pace to do only $14.3 million in the USA :!:      The overseas box office totals should be interesting this weekend.

Yes,of course, everyone sees him because he is just so tall, dark haired and handsome and he simply oozes the charisma. _.///
Please,Barbara, leave your bubbly dubbly stuff about Craig for personal life.

Again it's another movie that is a good first half then goes down hill and is filled homages to previous movies.

But it's the first bond movie after 9/11 , I thought it did well to say the world changed but not actually pervert the bond movie, where as Craig were supposed to be soo d**n serious and up to date about the post 9/11 world but ends up being so ridiculous and self centered .
