Like Stocks said, it was a result of the books being filmed out of order, but it can be expained away in-movie. When Blofeld crushes Bond's glasses and says something like "It takes more than a pair of prop glasses to disguise the great James Bond", isn't it possible that he recognised Bond almost straight away, and was just playing along in order to lull him into a false sense of security?
What was the rational then for doing OHMSS as the 6th film instead of the 5th? Were Broccoli and Saltzman deliberately screwing it up? It made NO sense to do the Blowfeld trilogy with 3 separate actors and one with a head of hair. Ernst Stavro Blofeld is a fictional character and a supervillain from the James Bond series of novels and films, who was created by Ian Fleming and Kevin McClory. An evil genius with aspirations of world domination, he is the archenemy of the British Secret Service agent James Bond. Blofeld is head of the global criminal organisation SPECTRE and is commonly referred to as Number 1, an official numerical position given to members of SPECTRE.
Blofeld appears or is heard in three novels: Thunderball, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and You Only Live Twice; and six James Bond films from Eon Productions: From Russia with Love (1963), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967), On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and For Your Eyes Only (1981) (the pre-title sequence of which marks his final appearance and apparent death). He also appears in Never Say Never Again, the 1983 remake of Thunderball.
OHMSS was originally planned to be filmed after TB, but there was no snow in the Alps that year. As you might recall, snow plays a big role in OHMSS.
So they made YOLT instead.
Evidently, there are some things even Cubby Broccoli couldn't control.
Broccoli was clear that they want to please Bond fans, "We don't want to disappoint audiences, and the audiences have always been so faithful to us." Oh really?

well they were at least for the 50th most of them came back. Far as disappointing audience yeah they do that too.,
Going though my movie forum more and more people are chiming in about how over hyped Spyfall was, certainly not the best Bond movie ever.
What a disgrace of a network now: http://money.msn.com/now/post.aspx?post ... 54058207cb+ Good riddance. Yet, somehow, they miraculously win Emmy awards with their trash shows. Liberals voting for liberals=false awards for rationally thinking Americans. I hope NBC rots in 5th place, from Brian Williams and his Fred Gwynne-esque face to all of their so-called talented shows.

Some Craig fans will argue how Skyfall's climax is not like Home Alone, and I have to agree. After all, Macaulay Culkin would have successfully protected M.
He finds it funny that Craig came second in the Best Bond poll. To me, it shows how much more diversity of viewpoints there is on this forum than on the EON-controlled ones. A little too much, IMO, given that we're supposed to be a forum with a distinct viewpoint.
"He's the one that doesn't smile" - Queen Elizabeth II on Daniel Craig
To say Daniel Craig is overrated is putting it mildly, for he's treated as though he's God-like. Anyone who says something negative about Craig's Bond, regardless if it's stated constructively or not, will immediately get attacked, and be bombarded by all the high IMDb/Rotton Tomatoes scores of Craig's Bond films. The words of praise by critics get treated as the gospel, while independent thought is worthless.
I remember seeing a list ranking all the Bond films, and Quantum Of Solace was on the bottom as the worst. When looking at the comments, there were people getting so upset and saying things like "How could you rank Daniel Craig below that awful Roger Moore!" And then people wonder why a site like this exists.
Favorite Bond Movie: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The November Man or any upcoming actioners starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good since it will help him expand his reputation as an actor especially in the action realm)
Favorite Movies: Star Wars Indiana Jones Star Trek The Dark Knight Trilogy Harry Potter Middle-Earth The Matrix Mission: Impossible The Mummy Jurassic Park Godzilla

Because of the time difference, the Oscars are shown in the wee small hours here. I usually just find out who won the next morning. One thing I liked about living in the States was being able to watch them live at a reasonable hour. I didn't always bother, but it was nice to have the option.

I'm going to watch it.Even though I'm not rooting for any particular movies and haven't seen any of them(but am planning on seeing Zero Dark Thirty tomorrow, schedule permitting.)
