My fear is the longer this drags on the more likely he is to return because above all else EON is lazy. I also thought this would be why Pierce would be back for Bond 21, the studio was breathing down their neck to make a movie and they didn't have any ideas, easiest to go with the flow bring Pierce back one more time, didn't happen. Is Daniel so different?

He is Barbara's darling for sure. Part of it I believe is because she had to defend her choice, nasty places like this did not approve her new direction and stuntman star. Curious how I like the stuntman in mask better than the lead and he has more screen time than Daniel, years ago it was a joke casting a stunt man as Bond now it happened twice really.

We read how the head of MGM was furious and Daniel for his tantrums, if there is truth to the rumours of his behaviours on set including stopping production and demanding actresses favourable to shagging him, then I wouldn't be too sure EON wants him back either.

But publicly EON still loves Daniel, and now Daniel say's he loves and misses them very much. I think it's actually all the 0's in his paychek. Odds are they try to bring him back, still his taking two jobs hurt his timing to make the movie, also them not talking to him about what's next when he was up to his eyeballs in it every step of the way since 2008 makes me wonder if this talk from Daniel now it to try to soften his public image of being an giant arse for everything he said and did last year. I don't think he knew how much it hurt with average movie goers, his circle of luvvies probably reassured him he was in the right and they nasty people at EON have taken advantage of him. One year later he's in the real world and his fanboys and not as slavish.

Part of what I like to believe makes him not coming back is the new TV series, Pierce couldn't get some movies because they feared EON's scheduled would take him away in the middle of production and he owes them first choice. I also think they played out the idea behind Daniel's Bond, honestly I don't think it had any legs beyond 2006 and they just kept trying to recapture that idea of this anti-bond twerp being the truest incarnation and this is how Bond begins, they tried over and over again to make that movie, if that was all they had they should have stopped at Casino Royale and moved on to a new idea.

We should get used to the idea we are stuck with him if only because EON is so dysfunctional.

He was a great Dale the Whale in Monk. Sorry to hear he has been unwell.I heard he was involved in the remake of Rocky Horror, never considered he might be recovering. If he was not acting I can't imagine what he have done instead, just so incredible as a actor.

What Daniel means when he says he gets a massive kick out of it he means that he gets a massive paycheck out of it. I remember when some guy who worked on the set of SPECTRE put a picture on instagram of Craig and wrote under the picture "asshole". Very soon, that picture as well as the account were deleted. I am hoping the poor guy didn't end up dead.
As for the rumors(if true) about him stopping the production because Monica didn't wanna sleep with him(look in the mirror Daniel would YOU sleep with yourself?) and demanding some other poor woman to do the job all I can say is he really is an asshole of epic proportions.
And since Barbara or any other person didn't stop his moronic behaviour that just makes the whole lot of them even more stupid than Craig.
I am just hoping that dour rip-off of Austin Powers was truly the end of Craig tenure.

I also agree with what Blowfeld said, the days around CR were Craig's golden days. You couldn't say anything less than magnificent about the movie you immediately risked your own life. Skyfall was praised to the sky and back but soon it was forgotten and now anyone barely remembers what the movie was about(it was about nothing really).

Tim Curry's clown is in the news with people dressing up as him. I believe the Northampton clown was the first to do this.

I got a email from a movie chain I have a discount card with promoting it the poster or other info did it say da Vinci code so I wasn't sure. This movie looks even more unbelievable than da Vinci code and angels and demons put together.

It was quite funny that Alan Moore had to deny being the creepy Northampton clown.

I think Alan Moore would be instantly recognisable even in full clown make-up.

Moore, who played the super spy in seven movies from 1973 to 1985, insists the tone of the films has changed in the newer versions of Ian Fleming's tales, and Craig is perfect as a darker, all-action Bond.

During an appearance on U.K. television show This Morning on Tuesday (25Oct16), the veteran actor said, "The action became wilder and so I think they started making Bond a little wilder and along the way it became more serious - it wasn't so jokey, which is probably right for the time.

"I think today Daniel Craig is an incredible Bond. He really is so tough."

I think Sir Rog got another nice check from EON. How could a man who said the role is too preposterous to be taken seriously praise this dull, brooding uncharismatic intepretation of the character? What's worse he's always the number 1 choice for Craig fans to bash. When someone needs to be taken down to make Craig look superior(because God forbid Craig fans to make a point about Craig without bashing some other Bond actor)
it's usually Roger.

I can't imagine Sir Rog publicly slagging off one of his successors as Bond. It just isn't in his nature.

Unfortunately this appears to be a mile marker on the road to Craig's return.

To Kris' point
Kristatos wrote:I can't imagine Sir Rog publicly slagging off one of his successors as Bond. It just isn't in his nature.
I can't imagine it either, I don't doubt that Rog would be hard pressed to make a disparaging remark even about Hitler! EON knows how affable Rog is and count on that, I doubt they even have to pay him directly, they just send out some shill "reporter" to ask what he thinks of Craig for the umpteenth time. I mean we get it Rog supposedly likes his performance how many time are we going to ask him?

To Veronica's point
Veronica wrote:I think Sir Rog got another nice check from EON. It is sad that Rog who is the fanboy punching bag is also paraded around as Craig's biggest supporter, but as I said above that's just an unfortunate side effect of his nice guy personality.

Back to my original point, This is a sign Craig is coming back for one more. Just a few weeks ago Craig professes his great enjoyment for playing the character and now once again we have Sir Roger paraded about to declare Craig is the right man at the right time. So we can assume EON gave Craig all the money and promised him a "deep", "compelling", script full of introspection, thrown together 15 minutes before shooting begins. So get ready for Bond 25 a three hour long pop psych 101 lesson. Starting with a pre-titles sequence that starts with Brofeld's escape and ends with Swann's death, leading in to more homoerotic titles played out over a theme song so dower funeral dirges are festive by comparison! The remaining two hours and 45 minutes will consist of Craig sulking, brooding, and filling himself with a steely resolve to get his revenge, you know just a longer version of QOS! So be sure to grab your ticket autumn of 2019 for the latest Bond adventure "Brother's Keeper"

Exactly. I do not think Sir Rogers comments are indicative of any decision EON has made, not that I'm banking on common sense finally becoming common with the brass at EON.

Sir Rog is not going to defame any Bond actor, he was positively glowing about Pierce, was he lying then or is he lying now. He might not care for the movie and say so, the actor he will never slag.

I have no doubt Daniel would like another huge payday, no doubt a few in charge are happy to oblige. I doubt the media whores at EON need to reach out to Roger to get him to put the word out the craggy look is in.

My only hope so far is EON aside from talking sweet has not made the phone call to keep Daniel on for the Spy Who Gagged Me. It appeared before they wouldn't dare think of a story treatment without consulting Daniel, after all his expertise as a Bond expert is invaluable. So far there has been no talks which is a positive for me.

Far as Sir Rog, if he had just learned Harrison Ford was named Bond, Roger couldn't help say what a smashing choice. Still it annoys me how he will carry the water for the people sagging off his career and fans.

All the pre-Craig Bond actors have said something positive about the Craig era, but since Moore is usually interviewed the most, he will naturally be the one you'll hear giving the most praise. And as others have mentioned, it's not in Moore's nature to bash another Bond actor, although he may make the occasional joke. Even when he made constructive criticisms regarding Quantum Of Solace, some of the Craig fans got upset. As most of us here know, you are very likely to get into trouble for any negative opinions expressed about the Craig era.

It is annoying how Craig fans will use Moore's praise for defence, but continue to bash him daily on the forums.
