Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Well as my post above shows, and proves. QOS is the second highest seller in the US.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Apparently there's to be *another* QOS DVD(with the ending they shot but didn't use) coming out.

I wouldn't get too excited over the 2nd place DVD finish. It is a distant finish at that and the blu-ray 1st place has no competition, Bold is a underperforming dog and the Twilight Blu-ray is only available at Target and Best Buy stores. Besides Pinocchio was #1 not long ago. Doesn't take much to dominate the Blu-ray rankings.
According to VB Quark is 3rd

The fact of the matter is though Mazer, that QOS is selling. And in big numbers.
Doesn't seem to matter where it's located in store either.
Bring on the next edition I say. I'm more than happy to shed a few more bucks to see the alternate ending alone.
But only if the special features are worthy. EON wouldn't let me down with a shoddy special edition. If it's anything like the one for CR it'll be well worth it.

What? It couldn't beat Bolt. Bold beat Quark in big numbers 26.1%
Lets put it like this; by all industry expectations Quark should have sold 3.2million in the first week.
EON let you down with a shoddy movie and shoddy video release Their only desire is to double dip you. Even the CR double dip wasn't all that great.
They dropped the ball with this dvd in more ways than one.

BTW I am not so sure that HMM counted all of Bolt's blu-ray sales because it was released earlier (before the 24th). Even then their numbers do not jive with other sources.

Mazer, that's why the fact that they're putting out a *third* QOS DVD is so galling. Not going to sugarcoat this....just come out and say it:It's a ripoff.

My brother got a QOS DVD for his birthday and when I looked at it, it gave away the ending on the DVD case. Am I the only one that thinks that?

Yes, it's WAY too spoilerish (if you haven't seen the movie before that is!)Well spotted on your brother's part!

Is this the same Katied who gave QoS a good review?katied wrote:Mazer Rackham wrote:What? It couldn't beat Bolt. Bold beat Quark in big numbers 26.1%

Do you have to agree with CnB to post here?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I liked it..but not enough to buy a DVD....or a Special Edition DVD..or a third DVD with the alternate ending. That's money spent elsewhere and for things of use to me, not something I'll sell when money's tight!
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The Bond people keep releasing new DVDs with must have extras to make people buy it again. At one time many people collected all the VHS editions....then they had to buy all the DVDs!!!
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I've said it once, and I'll say it again:It's a ripoff. And I guarantee you that when the third QOS DVD comes out the reaction will be "why?" and "No way am I shelling out for a DVD/BluRay again!!" Too right.Mr. Big wrote:The Bond people keep releasing new DVDs with must have extras to make people buy it again. All right. I considered it odd if you liked it that you cheer the soft sales and trash talk it.katied wrote:I liked it..but not enough to buy a DVD....or a Special Edition DVD..or a third DVD with the alternate ending. That's money spent elsewhere and for things of use to me, not something I'll sell when money's tight!
I admit I haven't bought one myself. Don't think this one is worth the bother.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The third DVD is insane, though.Thing is, there *will* be fans that buy it. It's their money,I suppose, but where is it going to end?
Will we start seeing up to 4 versions of the same DVD(or variations on it?) for sale at some point?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Several articles have Craig really pushing the idea of the next Bond film going back to the traditional style and characters of the franchise. What the heck is he talking about? We have said this since his inception and Eon and Craig are the antipathy of that now! Out of Craig's own mouth should come his judgment and Bond should return to normalcy with his departure.

One of the most regrettable and forgettable of the 22 set.JackWade CIA wrote:All right. Umm, how about NO as far as the return of certain characters and the old style of films go.bjmdds wrote:Several articles have Craig really pushing the idea of the next Bond film going back to the traditional style and characters of the franchise.
