Blade Runner 2049 and War Dogs actress Ana de Armas is set to join Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield and Michael Shannon in writer-director Rian Johnson’s Knives Out. Shooting is due to begin next month on the modern-day murder mystery which will see Craig "star" as a detective. Stanfield will also play a detective. Plot and character details are largely being kept under wraps.---------another Cr-egg bomb?

Hard to say. The guy does seem to be box office poison outside Bond. Not that I would expect it to do Star Wars numbers anyway. Best to look at the box office performance of other contemporary detective thrillers for comparison purposes.

That's not a contemporary one, though. The only one I can think of is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, another Craig franchise-killer. Funnily enough, "Detective" doesn't appear as one of the Box Office Mojo's genre charts. They have charts for strange genres such as "Underwater" and "Dragon - Supporting Role", but not for what I would have thought was a fairly major genre. Though their genre classification is a bit odd anyway. For example, #1 in the "Spy" genre is, um, Despicable Me.

Oh no Kris, that's not the cartoon, it's actually the story of Craig's casting!

The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

Detective movies were a big deal in the 50&60s (40s?), for recent movies seven, zodiac, are what come to mind. Best detective series are on tv and cable. I think it’ll bomb for the same reason westerns bomb, especially ones that have big budgets.

Honestly this movie feels like a desperate move by the director to either get attention or try to prove something.

Still only getting a white screen when I try to go to the DCiNB site, I can get it on my phone and tablet but the laptop can't get there, any suggestions? Is there a problem with the server?

Image Image Image Cr-egg at JFK airport here in New York this week. Craig will receive a reported £20 million ($26 million USD) :hair: to star in the 25th Bond film next year. Cr-egg is channeling his inner Abbey Road retro look.

After trying different browsers I have not been able to get the WSOD for the front page. It does seems slow to load, much slower than the forum page which uses a bigger database. I will try to clean it up and see if this helps.

If you all could try visiting the home page I would appreciate it. DCinB Home Page

I disabled a few plugins after making a new database. I think it is faster now. Best guess is a old plugin didn't play well with the latest update.
