Re: Will you ever date/marry a James Bond fan?
Surely most people like James Bond movies? Even if most are not fanatics. Uh. I'd say not really. I've run it to people who hated bond, from church for example where the life style and morals of Bond were the road to hell. Some I met in collage had the opinion that Bond was outdated, antiwoman, beh...

Re: Craig Facelift?
I seem to remember a very tall British actor who bore a striking resemblance to Connery when they were searching for a new Bond. Anyone recall his name? Not sure but we certainly talked about him at some point. First name to mind is Henry Cavill. Sam Worthington said he was on the short list signed...
Re: Halloween
I don't know how real a threat it was aside from it was talked about so imitators might try. What was real the years of warning and encouraging parents to have the candies x-rayed. I don't know of anybody who got spiked candy.
Re: Oh-bama
I think it's always been like that. People go on about Obama's "narcissism" like it's something unique, but honestly, who other than a narcissist would look at the job of POTUS and think "I could do that? " :( Probably right. The Senate is full of people who believe they need to be president. John ...
Re: Halloween
It's been chilly at night here-I like to sleep with the window open and put a blanket on me..when I wake up though, I am COLD. But I sleep well. When I was a kid I LOVED trick or treating..we'd go far away from our house-and it wasn't well lit either-my parents would never let us do that now! :shoc...

BJ,that doesn't surprise me..especially with their E***a coverage. *shakes head* I haven't watched them in a long long time. Bob Woodward and Sharyl Attkisson make me think the news business is that in name only, They are more entertainment and telling stories and not interest in following a story ...

Not sure if this vid of Brosnan playing GoldenEye 64 with Jimmy Fallon has been posted here yet. It's cool, but I do wish Jimmy would have gave Brosnan a few more chances at the game. That is so cool! Playing Pierce in the game I spent count...

I don't know if I've become disillusioned with the process or if it has always been like this. Listing to local level politicians they are spewing the same crap we get on the national level. In neighboring senatorial races bigs shots like the Clinton's and VP Biden are making the rounds getting the ...
Re: Halloween
Trunk or treat has been big with us this year. When I was a kid the churches alternative to Halloween were lame. I guess we've gone to more this year because our kids our older and have more friends in other churches. :? I'm happy to say we are well stocked with our favorite candies so it's a win wi...

Re: Will you ever date/marry a James Bond fan?
I would love to date/marry someone who is also a James Bond fan too!!! I wonder what would life be like... Perhaps there should be a dating website or Tinder app which is only of Bond fans only!!! Someone will do this sooner or later :) Mrs. Dr No, she watched a Bond movie or two before she met me ...
Re: Oh-bama
I don't know Obama is responsible for this new Ebola outbreak in New York. Even if the travel ban was in place this guy was a doctor who would be allowed back. I do think the CDC is playing CYA by trying to scapegoat the nurses in Texas. Two things IMHO are adding to the crisis is I believe the powe...
Re: Oh-bama
I'm trying to understand why the CDC is concerned over the economic implications of a flight ban? Shouldn't their first and only concern be containing outbreaks no matter what? I do think we should be able to make sure the Dr's, Nurses and others who have to be quarantine are sure to get their salar...
Re: Oh-bama
Statistics don't really tell the full story anyway. There are all sorts of figures that show the economy recovering, but they exist in some abstract realm of pure mathematics. Unless the majority of your wealth exists in the form of stocks and shares, chances are, this "recovery" has passed you by....

On the other hand Bond in Fleming's books was a bit too fussy about his food, drinks, clothes etc in my opinion. A bit unmanly really. Bond in the books was also an alcoholic as we've talked about in another thread. Connery was a bit rougher, while still being gentlemanlike of course. He also seeme...

On the other hand Bond in Fleming's books was a bit too fussy about his food, drinks, clothes etc in my opinion. A bit unmanly really. Yes, I wonder if Fleming's Bond would have been as gracious as Connery's (or Dahl's, if you prefer) if Dikko Henderson had got his martini wrong. My dad would alway...
