I don't blame him for trying something different. People were a bit snooty about Fleming's novels and he was a bit bored with the same formula and his character - similar to Herge and Tintin.

its obvious you had an agenda to dislike the film before stepping foot into the cinema to watch it with your pre-release thoughts. And you didn't have the reverse agenda? I'm not sure what other forums you are active on but I'd bet money that you've been camped on them for months prior to CR's rele...

My Casino Royale review It only seems like yesterday that Daniel Craig paddled down the Thames and was pushed out of his dinghy in a rubber-ring by Michael G Wilson. I was thrilled because Daniel Craig has always been my favourite actor. When I say favourite actor I'm not being entirely truthful. T...

Daniel Craig will make two more movies and then return to playing lunatics and oddballs in more independent productions. His stock will go down a bit post-Bond and he will become co-owner of a small seaside cafe to suppliment his income. Brooke Shields will offer him the part of the funny English bo...

"Drink wobbling" scene "like Fleming"

From Her Majesty's Secret Servant website review, by "Phil Gerrard". http://www.hmss.com/films/CasinoRoyale/gerrardreview.htm One scene in particular in Casino Royale captures Fleming's post-battle Bond perfectly, even though it doesn't originate from the novel: Bond, visibly shaken after dispatchin...

I thought the ending of Casino Royale (the movie)was far too over the top. I thought Bond was going to defuse a few nuclear weapons and get attacked by men with spear guns when he was underwater.

It's a shame that Eon have such a grip over Bond.

They could make a Thunderbirds/Team America style Bond film. Daniel Craig could even play James bond.
