I didn't see the Oscars, but it'll be interesting to see if the ploys they used to reverse the decline in ratings (starting it an hour earlier, having an undoubted hit movie sweep the board, bringing in Ryan Gosling to perform I'm Just Ken) have any effect.

I'm going to see it tomorrow. For me, the draw is Henry Cavill playing a Bond expy, and the fact that it is part of the Kingsman franchise (though I didn't realise that until recently). But I recognise that these are not necessarily things that translate to boffo box office (as they say in Variety)....
