Re: Odd Bond dreams
I haven't had many, but I do remember two from a while back, both about the then untitled Bond 22.
In one, I was watching Bond 22, and the pretitle sequence contained Bond in a car chase that looked like something from a Need for Speed video game. Then he suddenly hit a jump, and went flying ...

Re: US Election 2008: Who Will Win?
It seems like Barack has it all but wrapped up, thankfully. Still you never know, US elections are unpredictable like that, non-compulsury voting means that polls and such are always harder to rely (though still a good indicator of general sentiment).

Re: QOS Box Office
Good to hear. After some of the lukewarm reviews I was a little worried it may not match Casino Royale's takings, but this is much more encouraging.

Re: Bonding with Bond:All Of The 007 Films
These are an interesting read, it's cool to see someone experience Bond for the very first time. Can't say I agree with all of his points, I love DAF and loathe YOLT and Thunderball, but they are quite engaging and well written reviews.

Re: Horrible "The Living Daylights" DVD cover
Wow, these new covers are awful. I'm glad I bought most of my DVDs back when the SE's were out, they looked great. These new ones are just bland and formulaic.

Re: Favourite Bond Theme Song?
I didn't think AWTD was that bad to be honest. It wasn't great by any means, but there's certainly been worse theme songs (Moonraker, You Only Live Twice, the non-instrumental FRWL... IMO of course). I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me at first, and I'm glad they are at least trying to ...

Re: Connery wasted in DAF?
For all it's flaws, I LOVE Diamonds Are Forever. It's quite possibly the funniest Bond film of all time. It gets the comedy angle right unlike the Moore and Brosnan eras, probably because it's mostly black humor and adult. Odd, considering that I prefer films like FRWL, OHMSS and CR. You know ...

Eh... product placement doesn't bother me remotely, I never even notice it unless someone else points it out to me.

Re: Bond lines will not appear in QOS.
Eh, doesn't really bother me. There's been plenty of Bond films where he hasn't said the "shaken, not stirred" line, and I'm pretty sure there's been a film or two where he hasn't said the "Bond, James Bond" line. I like to see them every so often, but there's no need to cram them into every film.

Re: Favourite Bond Theme Song?
"You Know My Name" is my favourite, it's an awesome rock track that sounds really different from what has come before but is still undeniably Bondian. A View to a Kill, The Living Daylights and Tommorow Never Dies (I think I'm the only person that likes that one) are also fantastic, and I've always ...
