Re: Daniel Craig? Not Bond, James Bond
I agree with many of his points. You can't really translate too much of Fleming these days into a modern action film series.

Re: Quentin Tarantino: ‘Daniel Craig Shouldn’t Be James Bond’
Campbell and Haggis said the film would have a Bond in his twenties so I expected a young unknown actor and perhaps some scenes of 007 in the Royal Navy. That would have been incredibly bold. As it transpired they left a vague Bond on his first mission element to the film mainly through the PTS ...

He was a big favourite on the Bond forums when names to replace Brosnan were being thrown around. Mind you that was four or five years ago now.

Re: Quentin Tarantino: ‘Daniel Craig Shouldn’t Be James Bond’
QT doing a Bond film would have been something to behold. Whether you hold it close or hold it afar is a different matter.
When I first heard about QT wanting to do Bond I didn't like the idea because I generally don't like his movies. However if he had met the franchise half way I think it could ...

Re: Quentin Tarantino: ‘Daniel Craig Shouldn’t Be James Bond’
Tarantino is too good for Bond. It would be madness for a man who directed Pulp Fiction to be in any way subordinate to anyone in the current Eon regime - a group of people who have just made Quantum of Solace, the biggest pile of s**t in Bond history. I think he first started his Casino Royale ...

Re: Quentin Tarantino: ‘Daniel Craig Shouldn’t Be James Bond’
QT is far too good for the modern James Bond franchise. They prefer a hired hack who can be bossed around.

Jonathan Cake would have been a solid Bond candidate to replace Brosnan.

Re: Devoid of his usual charm and grace
My major gripe with Casino Royale, which remains to this day, is that it broke too many golden Bond rules- abandoning the suave debonair demeanour in favour of presenting Bond as a blue-eyed Bourne, animalistic and passionate and thoroughly ruthless. And the film moved too far away from the ideal ...

Re: So you think you can do better than EON...
Craig doesn't deserve more than three films. He's the Bourne Experiment. Wrap up his Quantum story, then cast him away. The next guy should have a blank slate too.
Given how craggy he is he'll look ridiculous if he does too many more. He spends most of his Bond films running and smashing through ...

Miss Broccoli was all over the place after CR with that grating voice. She seems to have gone publicity shy again in the wake of THE WORST BOND FILM OF ALL TIME.
