Re: Quentin Tarantino: ‘Daniel Craig Shouldn’t Be James Bond’

This is like talking about who would have won if Ali fought Mike Tyson or something. An interesting subject but not something that could have happened. If it had somehow then I'm sure Tarantino could have done something noir and pulpish with a strong visual style and plenty of action. Whether or not...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

I can remember the broad reception for each Bond since Timothy Dalton had the role and I honestly can't remember the critics going after one of the films in the manner they did with QoS.

He even started looking like an early Bond era Roger as he got a little older. http://www.filmbug.com/images/people/303914.jpg I'm sure he must have been considered for OHMSS. I thought he had a very good Bond look in some of those Michael Reeves films like Witchfinder General, Sorcerers. http://www...

Re: Alternative Bond List

I'm pretty sure that story about Michael Gambon possibly becoming Bond is a joke by Gambon. He's known for winding journalists up with deadpan stories. He would have made a good M though. Gambon said he told Broccoli he couldn't be Bond because he didn't have any real hair or teeth and Cubby replie...

Those awards were waiting for whoever they cast as Bond - in this case Hobo Craig. You can't take them seriously. Even DC made a wry comment about finding it amusing that he got a best dressed man award if I recall.

I'm sure Eon have noticed the general trend of critics turning agaisnt their vaunted reboot already but I never really got the impression that BB gives a s**t what anyone thinks. It's her toy now and she'll do whatever she wants.
