Re: Forster turns down 'Bond 23' offer

I like Michael G Wilson and he's played a big part in many of my favourite Bond films. He's a nice man who has done sterling work for the series but I do feel he is losing interest of late and there is a definite subtext to some of his recent interviews. He is knocking on a bit I suppose but I wish...

Re: Forster turns down 'Bond 23' offer

CinemaBlend claims Tony Gilroy is the top target. He was responsible for; Dolores Claiborne (1995) (writer) The Devil's Advocate (1997) (writer) Armageddon (1998) (writer) Proof of Life (2000) (writer/executive producer) The Bourne Identity (2002) (screenwriter) The Bourne Supremacy (2004) (screenw...

Re: Forster turns down 'Bond 23' offer

You mean Forster right? No, he didn't sound as if he enjoyed his time there. I think he enjoyed the chance to make a different type of film but was eventually frustrated by the lack of time available to edit the picture. James Bond films have strict release dates well in advance so you can't really...

Guy Ritchie has made a good film? We have an old Butler thread here which is quite interesting to look back at; http://www.danielcraigisnotbond.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=110 And here is an endlessly fascinating article about Butler & James Bond: http://www.alternative007.co.uk/54.htm

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

But I'm talking of some of the past regular users. Skywalker, Blowfeld, Commander 0077, Harvey Wallbanger, ID and even carl stromberg is as frequent as he used to be. Where have you gone guys, the place isn't the same without you chaps. I've been busy elsewhere and I know Skywalker's been a bit sno...

Marvelous. It's a shame the big Bond sites don't have these debates anymore.

It comes down to looks. I can't really accept someone who looks as ordinary as Craig being Bond so I struggle to get very far beyond that.

Rotten Tomatoes gives a fairly accurate picture on this. DAD received nowhere near the high level of acclaim that CR did. It was not universally loathed. Empire, BBC, Maltin and so on were positive. Empire - 3 stars DAD Not quite the birthday party we were expecting, but it's a diverting enough spe...

You can make a case for Mctiernan using Brosnan better than Eon.

We're about to enter the inbetween Bond films silly season. Joan Sims to be Bond girl etc. I doubt very much that Craig will bugger off after two films but I don't think he is someone who wants to spend the next ten years making James Bond films.
