Marvelous. It's a shame the big Bond sites don't have these debates anymore.

It comes down to looks. I can't really accept someone who looks as ordinary as Craig being Bond so I struggle to get very far beyond that.

Rotten Tomatoes gives a fairly accurate picture on this. DAD received nowhere near the high level of acclaim that CR did.

It was not universally loathed.

Empire, BBC, Maltin and so on were positive.

We're about to enter the inbetween Bond films silly season. Joan Sims to be Bond girl etc. I doubt very much that Craig will bugger off after two films but I don't think he is someone who wants to spend the next ten years making James Bond films.

I had a real life Bond moment recently. I was on a bus when I was suddenly attacked by a 7 ft man with steel teeth. Luckily I managed to throw him off, adjust my tie and dispense a quip.

Looks like a solid candidate to me. Is he friends with Barbara Broccoli though?

That picture reminds me why I became a vegetarian in the nineties.
