Re: Offbeat Bond casting.

I think Brando with his Fletcher Christian accent would have been interesting. His Burn Sir William Walker accent was somewhat different.

Re: Liam Neeson

I remember watching the opening scene of Schindler's List and being impressed with the way Neeson/Schindler was so commanding, suave and rugged. He smoothly charmed the Nazis and their women. Afterward, I began thinking of him as the next Bond because he projected masculinity, intelligence and ...

James Brolin screentested for Octopussy I believe.Sorry, but an American James Bond?Just..no.

Depends if he could pull off a convincing British accent. If his accent was more Johnny Depp than Dick van Dyke, I could accept an American actor in the role. We have a British Bionic Woman, so why not an ...

:) NSNA holds special signifigance for me because two friends of mine were on their honeymoon in Nassau at the time it was filmed and worked as
extras. (They're in the shot at the dock where Connery is talking to Atkinson.)
They brought back some personal video and photos of themselves with Connery ...

 I just remembered! I used to think of Adrian Paul as Bond - he sort of reminded me of Connery. Actually, he looks more like Connery than Jason Connery.

:) I watched my new dvd of Goldfinger the other night. The opening scene where Connery removes his wet suit to reveal his white dinner jacket, then walks into the lounge as the installation blows up pretty much encapsulates the Connery Bond's dash, elegance and humor.

Actually, Reynolds always looked so much like Brando that Brando haunted his career. (This doubtless kept him out of 'Godfather' or so he is supposed to have claimed.)
If not Reynolds as Bond, what about Brando? Just imagine his Fletcher Christian (south Kensington?) accent

One of the things I can't accept about Craig at this point is the idea that his Bond is an old Etonian. I know Craig's done a lot of classical work on stage, but Connery, with or without a lot of help from Terrance Young, was much more convincing in this regard.

:?: When I saw the opening scene of 'Schindlers List', I couldn't help but ponder whether or not Liam Neeson could play Bond. He was suave, cunning, physically imposing. But I somehow doubt he would have been interested what with his love of theater and commitment to character roles and ...

DANIEL CRAIG LOOKS LIKE VLADIMIR PUTIN

My first impression is that there is a certain resemblance and I'm curious as to what anyone else thinks.
