Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

I haven't seen it yet, but I heard there's a lot of one-sided politics with overt liberal values in it slamming conservatives, hence my reason not to see it is farther established.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

I may be one of the very few people who didn't mind the CGI Peter Cushing and Carrie Fisher. I actually loved those and applauded them for effort. really? It seemed so weird on the big screen. I don’t mind the idea of using images of deciders actors with their families permission, it is just the an...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

Never understood the hate for Rogue One . It's the first Star Wars I went to see and the first to see in the franchise, and never had a problem with the female protagonist. It never felt like Felicity Jones carried the whole film. All of them were given the right parts and never understood the compa...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

No matter what the fans chant, Disney/LucasFilm are pretty much set in their belief that Rian Johnson's vision is the direction they want to go with. They won't remake Episode VIII.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

So... I got my Expanded Edition of the Die Another Day soundtrack by La-La-Land Records. Oh, the sound quality as well as some of the previously unreleased tracks in it made me feel like eight years old, again, when I first saw the film! It's sensational!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

All America needs is to dethrone those idiots. They’ve spoken their half-witted minds for so long like belligerent oafs not just their ratings, but they value should drop below zilch.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

Disney is playing monopoly with the entertainment industry. One might think they're actually SPECTRE. Or run by Elliot Carver (who, of course, was based on Fox's previous owner, with a dash of Bill Gates thrown in for good measure). Haha, who knows? As if watching Disney Channel back in the day was...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

According to my friend, this film makes the prequel trilogy look like masterpieces, and he was quite pissed off about it, also adding that the potential of each character was wasted. I myself am also suspecting Disney isn't moving the story forward. That's why I hate about modern films that don't re...

Re: Pierce Brosnan was the best 007

Every actor has a few turkeys in their filmography. But at least Pierce also has Seraphim Falls, The Ghost Writer, The Foreigner etc, as well as smaller parts in films like The World's End. I also quite liked Married life . Underrated movie with great cast. Agreed. Married Life is a great film.

Re: Pierce Brosnan was the best 007

Same here. McTiernan and Verhoeven have always been on my list to direct Bond films, because these two knew how to handle action and drama in balance. Personally, I'd rather Nolan never gets to direct a Bond film, because I can only assume it'd make the godawful Sam Mendes efforts look like traditio...

Re: Pierce Brosnan was the best 007

He did Basic in 2003 with John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson.

Such a shame really because McTiernan was a very decent director in his heyday.

Re: Pierce Brosnan was the best 007

Yes, John McTiernan did time. Although, I don't recall his suggestion to reboot it. While in prison, he wrote a script called Thomas Crown and The Missing Lioness with Brosnan in mind, unrelated to the Topkapi -inspired script delivered by John Rogers previously. However, a reboot television series ...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

True. Especially how she was reintroduced as an entirely different Lois Laine. But, I do like her somehow. She's got more chemistry with Cavill than Kate Bosworth did with Brandon Routh. Lois was completely miscast in Superman Returns , anyway. I also agree about Superman's death coming off too soon...
