Dr. No wrote:Sherlock Holmes 1&2 are good demonstration of how to make a Bond. The Incredibles and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol should get Brad Bird a call, he would do a great job on a Bond.
YEAH Sherlock Holmes - forgot about those, good call.

Re: James Bond 007

I agree, Saint. A friend of mine let me borrow this when I was a kid and it was pretty cool - an interesting change of pace from Goldeneye, and really fun for long car rides. Plus I would listen to the Bond title music for several minutes before starting the game  I was always really ...

Dang, that sounds cool. Some of my friends are into D&D, and I've tried playing with them but I usually lose interest pretty fast. If it was Bond-themed though I'd probably have way more fun!

Re: Best 'Bond-style' movies?

The Incredibles & Johnny English are good calls. I'm tempted to see Johnny English Reborn but it didn't get great reviews - might catch it eventually though.

Taken & The Matrix come into mind - both have a larger-than-life male protagonist who kills a bunch of people and doesn't give a $!#@. The ...

This would be a great choice. Too bad people are so in love with Craig that he won't get a chance :x He totally has that suave look and a sophistication about him, and his voice fits the role. You can watch 15 minutes of him in Inglourious Basterds and see it instantly.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

OK sorry I gotta vent about some friends drinkin' the Craig kool aid real quick -

A bunch of us had just seen Skyfall and were talking about how good it was, and I mentioned how I really loved the opening credits sequence + theme song, and Bardem as the villain. Then it just got into most of them ...

Exactly 10 years ago when Die Another Day premiered in the US, on November 22, 2002 ...

Re: What if Brosnan played Bond from 1986 until 2012?

That would have been awesome , Brosnan totally got screwed by NBC when they let him know on Day 60 of his 60-day Remington Steele option that they wanted to renew the contract. Total BS. He was all ready to go as Bond. Thank God it worked out eventually, but I really would've liked 2 more Brosnan ...

Re: Katie's Spyfall review

Hmmm, I really liked Bardem as the villain actually, and Adele's theme song. I agree the opening sequence was kinda weird, as was the whole Home Alone set-up-traps-in-the-Skyfall-house thing. I also like Ralph Fiennes and think he'll be good as the new M. The new Q......eh, not sure yet, maybe ...

Despite a low key soundtrack from Eric Serra, and a plot with the usaul suspects (ie Russians).... i really liked GE a lot, the girls were lovely :) , and i thought Sean Bean was an excellent villian.....i particularly liked the climatic battle between 007 & 006 on that radar dish.
As ive said ...

Lol, "Craig of Duty"

After seeing the movie, I was really hoping there was a Skyfall game, or at least a newer FPS Bond game that would be fun to play. 007 Legends was that newer game, but I was quickly disappointed after finding out from reviews & videos that it was basically CoD Bond. I ...

That's cool about the Citadel level. Have other people here played Perfect Dark in addition to Goldeneye? I thought it was a great indirect sequel to the game, and vastly improved the multiplayer experience. The only downsides were it forced you to buy an expansion pack (though they we're very ...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

Before “reboot” entered the pop culture lexicon, there was “GoldenEye.” The movie is one of the absolute best of the entire James Bond series, due in no small part to a terrific character-heavy script from Michael France, Jeffrey Caine, and Bruce Feirstein. Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan http://www ...

Well not like Die Another Day, but a 5th Brosnan Bond with a darker turn and a 6th that's got really solid action (not as ridiculous as DAD) in the vein of Goldeneye would've been awesome.

Re: Great video montage of how Brosnan became Bond

I think some of the criticism leveled at Brozza is fair game. I'm sure the actors had some influence over the direction of their films. Dalton definitely influenced the producers to go down the Fleming route, and I'm sure Moore's flippant humour in real life played a part in his films being less ...
