Odd Lazenby Bios
Was visiting IMDB lately and for some reason the bio of George Lazenby popped up. It may have had something to do with viewing YOLT, but will have to back track. Anyway, was bemused with some of the bits in George's CV. Thankfully, Wikipedia doesn't have these 'blandishments' such as : He served as ...

Re: Bond News Of The Day Thread
just for the record, in some of Craig's other movies he is passable, but if it seems that sometimes the comments are personal ('big ears, sour puss face'...) these are because of Craig's physical (for one) unsuitability for the role; plus, his characterization of Bond as a boor. Finally, the Daniel ...

Re: Dirty Benny's Weekly Rant
God Almighty, God Almighty, does SPLACKTRE actually have a scene where 'James' gets his 1/ head drilled and 2/ with no effects, not even a mild headache! Oh, it's torture enough to hear that, don't know if I'll be able to take it visually.

At first, thought it was 'ambitious Lamborghini' tee hee.... but thanx, it's very Bond related. Especially like the smoke ejectors.

Re: Dirty Benny's Weekly Rant
Since I must be the Last Spy in the World who hasn't seen SPACKTRE, can't comment intelligently or otherwise on it, except for the excerpts I've seen on Youtub .... but must comment on a tangent to the NO-EON films: just on radar, the new Dr. Strange film, release date end of year. Having an interes...

It must be a talent that he can scowl even with a mask on. From there, we see sausage pants frowning his way on the parapet, when a real Bond would be having more fun, a glint in his eye. Your comment reminded me of this picture that was recently posted here in another thread: https://honestbrandin...

Re: Bond News Of The Day Thread
If Craig had the charisma and acting chops of Humphrey Bogart, he would have a shot. His height is the least of his detracting from the essence of Bond. Start with his (lack of) personality and Bond's height would be around middle ground. Plus, those sausage suits make him look .... what are the wor...

Re: RIP Sir George Martin
RIP George. Truly one in a billion. Wonderful, wonderful arranger, and by all accounts, a gentleman. My one regret is that he never wrote another Bond score. On a tangent, he leaves a very strange Coat of Arms, with 'Three Beetles, and a tire tread.'

Hah, I must be one of the few hold outs in Bondland, not having seen Splacktre. Just went on youtube and the dead parade. Was already laffing with Craggs in the crowd. It must be a talent that he can scowl even with a mask on. From there, we see sausage pants frowning his way on the parapet, when a ...

RIP David Bowie. It will be a very very long time before some as interesting and imaginative comes aground again. As most of you may(or may not) know,I have a much(almost 10 years) older sibling who listened to(and got me into) Bowie, the Clash,to name a few. So this is a big loss for both of us. H...

Hello my valued friends, I hope all had a happy holiday season, and wish you all a happy and prosperous new year! I may or may not be able to post a new installment of my Spectre rant this week as I'm preparing for my trip to Paris. I can definitely say there will not be one next week, as I will be...

THE PIERCE in 'No Escape' .... about an American family (Owen Wilson, wife and two little daughters) in an unnamed Southeast Asian nation (filmed mostly in Thailand) and they find themselves in extreme danger just when they settle into their hotel. SUPERMARKET CHICKENS ARE PUMPED WITH POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DRUGS: In 2012, Johns Hopkins University studied the feathers of imported chickens to see what was in their system before slaughter. Painkillers, antidepressants, banned antibiotics, and caffeine were found in the samples. Some chickens wer...

So I just watched the first episode of mini-series called "The Game". The main character is an MI5 officer, tall, dark, handsome, elegant, has piercing blue eyes. If you haven't watched it already you might like it. :spy: I saw this program when it came out, its kind of a Tinker, Tailor, Soldier,...

It's Official : Fleming Would Not Have Approved of Craig
I have just finished Goldeneye - Where Bond Was Born which details Fleming's creation of Bond, and the critical fact that without Jamaica there would probably not be a Bond. (I will review this in the 'book' section). But since this is the CragsnotBond forum, I feel that the following Eyes Only info...

Goldeneye: Where Bond Was Born - Fleming's Jamaica
I'd like to put this book on the 00 radar. Haven't completed it, so it's not fair to review it. But for now: any 00 will have much fun with this one. The premise is that without Fleming's love of Jamaica, there would likely not be James Bond. Jamaica's beauty, romance, ghosts (real or imagined?), bl...

Re: A new iconic Bond car?
On the BMW (below minimum wage) as a Bond car: "Shirley, you're joking!" is what I moaned when BOND was driving a BMW, God Almighty, God Almighty! That was a tipping point, both BMW and Eon should have been ashamed of the crassification of it all. Ugh, bleah, yuk .... hope I've made myself clear. Th...
