Re: Predictions For The Next Movie
I wonder if we're in a for a Star Wars "I am your father" moment as Bond discovers the head of SPECTRE is none other than his Dad.

Re: Daniel Craig is a great Bond
I think Craig is a terribly drab Bond. Like a sort of just discovered my navel and suchlike, do what I fuckin' want, pre-puberty Bond. And Skyfall is, well, there's a useful four letter word, and Skyfall is all of it.

Diana Rigg was fantastic. A beautifully, creatively and ineffably perfect companion for a fantastic Bond in Lazenby.

Re: Sean Connery 1971 BBC interview
A pity it seems to be so predominantly about the money for Connery at that stage. I don't blame him of course, life's life. But he seems so completely disinterested in the character at that stage, avoiding the question about how he feels about Bond as a character. He's got way past all that, he says...

Re: #NewBondTitle
I did wonder, when I heard 'Spectre' was the latest title, whether this was the first in a trend of dreadfully drab titles we were now to be subjected to, with future entries, perhaps, such as 'Gun', 'Agent', 'Goodie', 'Baddie', 'Fight' or 'Stylely'. Personally, I can't help feeling they started goi...

Re: The Living Daylights Tribute thread
One of the more important Bond movies. Successfully continuing the character after a dozen long light hearted Moore years, establishing a new era of a serious Bond, straight from Fleming's pen to your eyeballs. A moderate success at the time but is getting ever more popular in hindsight. Dalton tru...

Too late to vote it seems. Oh well, nevertheless, a clear favourite for me... Live and let Die. Stokes me up every time I sit down and watch it.

Re: Best Fight Scene in a Bond Film
Good to see you Jim!@!!  Moore had some surprisingly physical fights seeing as most think of his as the least athletic Bond. Yes, I agree. I sometimes wonder if there isn't a disparaging stereotype that has grown up retrospectively about Moore's Bond, perhaps because he was so suav...

Re: Best Fight Scene in a Bond Film
Another - Licence to Kill: the fight with Dario on the conveyor belt - nasty. Are you for REAL, Jim ? That wasn't a "fight". All Bond did was grab Dario's ankle and make him fall onto the conveyor belt after the fiend was distracted by his minor wounding (in the shoulder) by Pam's gunfire. All Dari...

Re: Best Fight Scene in a Bond Film
Agreed the fight with Nick Nack was brilliant. Really inventive, well choreographed, beautifully executed with a great live-action feel, and lovely flippant humour without undermining the action. Another of my faves is also from TMWTGG, and that's the whole Kung Fu school scene. From start to finish...

Re: Is Skyfall the Worst Bond Movie?
I completely agree. Worst ever.
I thought things couldn't possibly get any worse after the dismal, dire, dreadful QoS, but Skyfall showed just how wrong you can be.

Re: Poll: What is your favourite Bond film made in the 1980'
Hey there Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry!! Why do you like AVTAK now? I feel there is a lot to like because of the 1980's setting and the great cast. Yeah the cast is definitely very strong. I think Walken's Zorin is terrific; and May Day is groovy too; and the two as a team were somehow very exuberant a...

Re: Poll: What is your favourite Bond film made in the 1980'
For a long time I have not been terribly keen on the later Moore outings, although each one seemed to have a couple of really brilliant moments scattered throughout, but lately AVTAK has won me over a lot more, although I still feel it has too many flaws to be amongst my fave Bonds. But Dalton's app...

I agree entirely, it's not a question of talent. Craig is a very good actor, but he's all wrong for Bond. I sometimes find myself wondering if Hulk Hogan might be in line to take over after Craig.

I'm with FormerBondFan on this. I think Craig is a good actor, but I think he is completely miscast as Bond.
