Re: Best Bond voice?

Moore's voice was the best, naturally. Though Connery was also pretty good too.

Re: Taking a Break

There'll be a cup of tea and a biscuit waiting should you ever choose to return for further Roger Moore themed hijinks.

I've just popped back to take a quick sip of tea! The Afternoon variety of course, even though it's almost midnight ...

Taking a Break

Well fellow Bond fans, it's been fun, but I am leaving to take a break. I have been left shocked and appalled at the general attitudes to re-instating Sir Rog as Bond, and I feel that no one is taking the suggestion that Eon should hire him once more seriously.

I am disgusted!

Anyway, I hope you ...

Re: Roger Moore Should STILL Be Bond

Ian Fleming would be spinning in his grave at the idea of campy remakes of the Bond films with a way-too-old Bond in the role. That's what I think.

But why do you think Sir Rog was campy? He had the right balance of jest and seriousness. In Octopussy and FYEO he was especially good. Oscar ...

Re: Roger Moore Should STILL Be Bond

Pierce was fine in the role.So was Timothy Dalton. I don't buy into the excluding the other Bonds. :?

The thing is though: Bond should have been filmed from start to finish within a 15-20 year time period. And, ideally, with just one actor. I propose Eon start the franchise from scratch ...

Re: This Forum Isn't so Bad

You should know by now that no ne else here agrees with you on Moore still being Bond, so why are you expecting members here to sign a petition? You already know what the answer will be.

And Fleming wrote Bond stuck in his mid to late 30's. He never got older in the novels, and Fleming NEVER wrote ...

Re: Roger Moore Should STILL Be Bond

Dalton and Brosnan had a good mix I don't think of them as AP material not like Moore was.

Dalton and Brosnan were good actors but made TERRIBLE Bonds. The Dalton/Brosnan era was the worst in the franchise.

I just looked at your favourites list, and see you are a Brosnan fan. Well ...

The Moore films, remade, would be much more Austin Powers like than anything Brosnan or Dalton did. One more reason NOT to remake them.

Frogwash! I am CERTAIN even Ian Fleming would have been ...

Best Fight Scene in a Bond Film

There are many good fight scenes in Bond (that is, Bond films made between 1973-1985), but this has to be the finest:

I can watch that scene over-and-over and never get bored. I wonder, what scenes are favourites of everyone else here? I doubt any could ...

1) I'm not signing a petition to being Sir Rog back.

Disgraceful! I am CERTAIN Ian Fleming himself would have been APPALLED to read such a dismissive comment!

2) Remaking the movies, especially with Sir Rog, at his age,is a bad idea.

How can you say that? Why, look at a recent advert he ...

Re: Should Roger Moore Still Be Bond?

I am still unsure whether you:-

a) are deliberately posting nonsense in order to get a reaction or
b) actually believe something that everyone else regards as self-evidently absurd.

If it's a), then that is the very definition of a troll. If it's b), then no rational argument is possible, since ...

This forum is not so bad, despite my disagreements with some others here. Of course, should I find myself banned and my posts/threads locked for no good reason then I will think otherwise, but, so far, so good.

But, it must be said, the most strongest reaction I get from my posts are from those who refuse to believe Sir Rog (or even Lee and Kiel) could return in their former roles in the Bond series. And that is just disgraceful!
I think its more disgraceful that you actually believe Moore and the ...

Of course he looks great for his age. I would like to look like that by the time I'm 80.

But does he look like a fit, young, virile, tough superspy, who could beat up 20 guys and perform miraculous ski jumps? The answer clearly is no. If you say you disagree with me on this, and that he looks ...

Warning everyone. This Scashy guy is nothing more than a troll, and a wind-up merchant. He started off with the very same joke threads on MI6, and was tolerated for quite a while until he was finally booted out.

Expect more pointless, wind-up threads from this troller to begin.....
